It’s because their template sucks . As long as we can keep it in house and keep our current design i think would be a win all things considered. Outside of the $$, becoming an Adidas school will not enhance our recruiting, the same cannot be said if the situation were reversed.

If anyone is watching the TN baseball game - Adidas can certainly top that Nike uniform.

Relatively small enrollment/alumni base compared to the schools that have the top deals. They move more merchandise, or have the potential to move more merchandise, because of that. We're in the top 10 despite that, ahead of schools with larger bases, but still behind the top five. Nike's top three deals are Michigan, Ohio State and Texas. Michigan's enrollment is 53,000, Ohio State is 67,000 and Texas is 52,000. Tennessee is 37,000.

That makes sense. I wondering if there Is any concern among the administration that given how well things are going for the university as a whole, but especially an athletic department, that a rebranding would actually have a negative impact on things despite the extra $ coming in from Adidas? We have arguably the best Athletic Department in the country, with the 3 of the top coaches in men’s biggest sports, and an up and coming women’s basketball coach. I feel like why change a good thing if Nike gets in the ballpark of what adidas is willing to offer, or if they could structure it in a way that could still be beneficial to the school?

There wouldn't be a rebranding, the only thing that would really change from a branding standpoint is the "Tennessee" wordmark and probably the number font. Tennessee owns the rights to everything as it is, but adidas would probably work work with UT to go back to a modified version of what we used before.

Hopefully not script Tennessee on the road jersey or any jersey for that matter . Maybe not have 3 different types of orange on 1 player at any given time as well.

FWIW, I always wanted to see a helmet with a cursive, stylized VOLS on it...

YES, BEAT ME WITH A STICK - I know the Power T is an icon and has forever been on the helmet (well except for a few early years) but I would still like to see at least a mock-up

I was talking about wordmark logo, not the uniforms. Tennessee would continue to design uniforms in-house, as they have done under Nike.
