Ok, i just have to say after reading the Pat Forde article that i'm tired of the national media hating on Dooley. Forde pointing out the losing record at Lou Tech, our losing record last year and the too many men on the field mistake sucks. Dooley inherited a depleted roster, with da*n near no DL's and players who have had to adjust to three systems in three years. I think he did a heck of a job, much better than Kiffin and his geriatric father would have done i dare say. Then we pulled a near top ten class by all legitimate accounts (not including ESPN's bogus so called rankings). Give the man a chance for God's sake, at least withhold judgement until after this year. As for myself, I am proud to call Derek Dooley Tennessee football's head coach.

I think Kiffin does better with the same talent, not to mention does well with the recruiting class he was going to have if he had stayed and would've surely built on that in this recent recruiting year.

Seriously debatable. I have yet to see Kiffin outperform his talent level. He has played to it and well below it, but never above it.

Ol pencil neck himself said that 2010 would be a down year. Considering what he had to work with and bouncing back from a 2-6 start and get a bowl game, I'm damn proud of the job he did!! I could careless what espn thinks they hate us anyway!! Screw'em!!

Couldn't have put it better myself. I HATE when people bring up the LSU thing. Seems as though the media will try to have people remember Dooley for that one mishap.

The fact that we hung with LSU is testament to Dooley's coaching. We should have had no chance in that game.

It's fair. Dooley hasn't had a great career and it was a reach hire at best, whether it turns out good or not.

No. LSUs offense kept everyone in games this season. The turnover margin in that game should have won it for us.

Debatable on the coaching aspect of your comment. We all know that he can recruit top ranked talent with the best of them, but he doesn't care what it takes to get them.

If he was still here, think of how bad off we would be with the NCAA. The charges he received sololey would also have been applied to the university(if not more severe) since he would still be here. Plus, that doesn't even add in what other violations he would have committed up until now.

Wow... way to support your team... you could always cheer for Vandy you know since you seem to hate our coach so much.

I don't "hate" Derek Dooley.

His record at La Tech sucked.

Tennessee finished 6-7 (which is a losing record).

Employing the Chinese Fire Drill to end the LSU game ultimately falls on the HC too.

Tell me where Pat Forde made up anything or went out of his way to bash DD using facts.

Sure, he can be a prick, but it's not hard, right now, to make fun of DD.

I'm surprised Forde can write anything! How can he see the keyboard for that big ass nose??

I don't think he hates Dooley. He was skeptical of the hire, but a lot of people were. All he is saying is that the "unfair" bias by Forde and the national media is infact fair because those accounts are true. Doesn't mean that Dooley can't be a great coach, it just means this is what his record shows.

Speechless.
