Under The Dome

Okay episode. We are still in the dark about the little things going on...dead man buried...why? Girl bangs guy and dumps him....why? Mass natural Gas deliveries for storage...why? Guy who got banged wants to kill the guy who killed and buried the corpse in the opening scene....why?

I could answer all those except for Dale Barbara(Barbie) burying the body in the beginning of the show because that didn't happen in the book. But then I'd be spoiling it for others.

Just watched the pilot. Very interesting. I want to get into it. The only problem is that good science fiction shows like this never make it past the first season. It has a lot of potential.

This book was in response to Stephen King absolutely hating Bush and Chaney and expressing his opposition to the Iraq War.

Not really...
"Under the Dome is a science fiction novel by Stephen King, published in November 2009. It is a partial rewrite of a novel King attempted to write twice in the late 1970s and early 1980s, under the titles The Cannibals and Under the Dome."

Predates Bush/Chaney

It's a mini-series.

The bad guy is his interpretation of bush and Cheney. Read an article on it this week.

I watched the first two episodes on Amazon Prime over the weekend. The main plot and all the intertwined subplots are very interesting at this point. The few special effects were good. I thought the acting was abysmal though. I'll probably watch a couple of more episodes but if the acting doesn't improve, they've lost me. It has interested me enough that I'll read the book.

The actor that plays Jr Reddie is god awful. I can't take him seriously.

I know. I'm reserving judgement until I view a few more. It seems so forced and phony a lot of the time, IMO. But, he is probably the worst.

Barbie is becoming one of the protagonists of the show and the bald football hero is the antagonist.

Barbie undoubtedly is the protagonist. Something tells me Rennie will play both sides. He'll keep us guessing. One week, he'll be a hero, and the next week, he'll do something shady.

One thing is for sure. I can't stand Jr. Such a coward

Big Jim Rennie is maneuvering and manipulating, he's far from a good guy. They are seriously playing down the severity of Jr's character so far.

Question I have is if they are enclosed in this dome wouldn't the air begin to deplete? Several episodes there is a breeze blowing. How is that possible?
