UNC vs. Duke, Who do WE cheer for?

As far as us grabbing a #1 seed, do we need Duke or UNC to win Saturday night?

I would assume we need to cheer for North Carolina but Im not 100% sure.

Correct me if Im wrong.

As of right now I guess Im a Tar Heel fan tomorrow night.....

I am torn between the two of them. I am leaning on pulling for Duke because like zgreenbe said, we could slip into the #1 overall if we win out with our resume. And I do not see duke moving ahead of us because of our resume is better than theirs. With that said, I guess it doesn't really matter who wins...

Yea but if we do slip up in the SEC tournament, and Duke wins would'nt that boot us to a 2 seed?

One team you can cheer for right now is STANFORD... off to a strong start vs. UCLA

I don't see how Duke and Carolina can get the Number Ones. UCLA, Kansas, Memphis, Texas and the real UT all have compelling arguments for #1 seeds. Obviously Texas/Kansas will likely be decided in the Big XII Tourney. I'm not sure how UCLA and Memphis can be denied assuming they win their conference tourneys. The only way I don't see Tennessee getting a number is a loss this weekend coupled by an early upset in the SEC Tourney. Losing just one of those scenarios shouldn't affect them.

I never have pulled for Duke and never will. They are like the Notre Dame of cb to me. Go UNC.

I think we would want Duke to win.
Only because Duke has already beaten UNC and UNC hasn't gotten any quality wins. Only two of their opponents have been ranked: Clemson and Duke..and Clemson is horrible now. We don't need to give the selection committee a reason to give UNC the overall number one seed.

Duke. Duke probably won't be a No. 1 seed unless it beats UNC and wins the ACC Tournament as well.

The best thing for us is for Duke to sweep UNC, and for neither team to win the ACC Tournament. Then neither one will be a No. 1 seed, but Duke would get the nod to play in the regional at Charlotte. If we get sent there and UNC is the No. 2 team, the place will be full of Tar Hole fans. They're all over this state. Duke has its fans, but not nearly as many.

If Duke wins, won't both Duke and UNC still be in the conversation for a No. 1 seed? If UNC wins, I think Duke drops out of the picture.

Im for the Tarheels. I dont care about bracketology, as long as we are a 1 or a 2 seed ...all will be well until the sweet sixteen

then pandemonium sets in
