Unbelievable coach ready to accept UT's offer

Spurrier might do it. Think about it. The man is an ego maniac. Resurrect the program he helped kill. It would kinda make me wanna hurl though. Darth Visor at TN. Horrible horrible thought I had.

Well, if we don't get a good class... we are in serious trouble.. our team is in need of a lot of bodies.

you watch guys. watch Petrino jump ship. Oh God it just hit me like a tidal wave. Easier to recruit here, more money, more air time, Bray coming in. Petrino might happen. Cool another douche like Kiffin. We're skrewed.

I say we go hard after Charlie Strong. For one he is an excellent coach, two we can be one of very few teams with a black head coach, and three he knows how to recruit. This guy can recruit florida and is a great coach and would probably love to get back in the SEC. I say go after him.

he just arrive at louisville weeks ago and is assembling a staff. he wouldnt be able to get out of his contract. would not come here anyways. no just no. wouldnt happen.

This probably would have happened if Kiffin had jumped before dec 8th. Sadly, he waited until now. Good idea though.

What's so bad about Troy Calhoun? I know he's not a big name, but neither was Jim Tressel nine years ago. If the problem with Calhoun is the offense, he can hire different coordinators as long as he's got the chemistry and confidence with them. Like Tressel, he has proven he can do more with less. Winning at AFA is tough.

I'm not saying Calhoun is my top pick but I can't see him as being a bad pick, just not a big name pick.

This is the sort of thing that sux most about CLK's timing. If he'd quit at the end of the season, Charlie would be an ideal candidate and would probably have jumped all over the opportunity.

I just mention Ferentz in another thread. I think he would be a good hire cuz if you can win at Iowa your a good coach. And I think hes a fairly good recruiter, although could be wrong on that one.

I'm not sure I could watch Tennessee football if they hired that bastard Petrino. Hard to believe they'd go to him of all people after being abruptly jilted by somebody else.

My main concern is his offense. The triple option will not cut it in the SEC.

My inside source tells me that it's between:

Ed Gennero, Texas State Armadillos (Disciplinarian, knows how to win with lesser talent)
Sam Winters, ESU Timberwolves (Great recruiter, but tends to bring in guys with questionable character)
Bud Kilmer, West Caanan HS (STRICT disciplinarian, proven winner, Texas ties)

Could we possibly land any of these A list prospects?:eek:lol::eek:lol:

This thread has been the only thing keeping me hopeful today. Not enough to keep me up much longer, though.
