The bear (putin) should make a video of him pretending to fly it around a field or airport with a RC controller.

With his shirt off. A siberian tiger will be in the background. And Putin will be offering a most magnificently manly duckface.

What is the point of this video?

Heavy US involvement in the Ukrainian crisis. Crimea using the democratic process to determine their destiny is frowned on by the US, yet the overthrow of the rightfully elected president in Ukraine is OK. And don't just pin this on Obama. Neo-cons like McCain are also involved.

If by "democratic process" you mean Russian military intimidation and suppression, than yes, the process is fully democratic. *Insert eye roll here*

That's not really what it said. It said the US is supporting the uprising/interim government despite knowing it involves some shady figures.

LOL

At the end the narrator jumped into something about a war, but I didn't follow. Nor did I see the connection to the first 80% of the video.

Vice has some of the best on scene reporting so far in this. You can really get a feel for what's going on from the ground level with their reports.

Vice goes to war - NY Daily News

“CNN is a disaster. It’s spiraling into s---,” Smith said in an interview with the Daily News last week. “They are trying to young it down, but everything they do is a f---ing disaster. But what’s bad for CNN is good for me.”

If CNN was doing a better job taking viewers into the flashpoints of global conflict, Smith explained, Vice would have stuck to its bread-and-butter stories about “rare denim, cocaine and supermodels.”

Thanks for posting, Velo. That particular reporter has been doing a great job over there. CNN has him on some. If I'm not mistaken, he's also the reporter who sneaked into the Ukrainian military base in Crimea to interview Ukrainian military.

Regarding the video, it never ceases to amaze me how one's ethnic/cultural identity can completely cloud their judgment. Obviously, not everyone on the video was irrational, but many of them were. In particular, that one trash hat who basically insulted the elderly gentleman at the end of the video. What a dick that guy was, calling the man a "provocateur."

On another note, I know their history is not one of peaceful cultural interrelations, but I've always had a certain fondness for Cossack headgear.
