What's the difference in Putin and Obama?

One's a power hungry, disillusion, ego maniac that wants to completely control of the country.

The other is the President of Russia.

Obama might have been an OK city councilman in Chicago but that is about it.

Don't let the lack of guns blind you from the trees. Or something like that. As I said, it's a "faux conservative" dreamland.

Russians, at least the ones I've encountered, tend to be a lot like Texans. Very proud of where they're from and will tell you all the great things about where they live.

Perhaps that's why Bush was able to see Putin eye to eye so well.

I think Obama is a POS but I don't get the Putin love. The guy has manipulated elections, suppressed free speech, and is trying to do the same in other autonomous countries through puppets. He might make the US stronger if he were President, much like other autocrats to their respective countries in the past, but at what cost to personal and political freedoms?

I will say this, at least Putin does try to strengthen his country's position. Obama has done nothing but weaken ours.

You're obviously a patsy.

Perhaps Dubya gave him the go ahead on Georgia!

On a related note, do you think Putin sung Dixie?

You're probably right, although I prefer objective.

According to 90% of VolNation Politics Forum posters, you just sacrificed your "objective" status. You're now a patsy. Welcome to the club. Our next meeting will involve quilting. I'll fill you in on the exact details and the meeting hours later.

I yam what I yam. I agree with most of the politics of those espousing Putin, but disagree with their opinion on this issue. This term gets thrown around a lot but Putin is as close to a fascist that I can think of.

For someone who's supposed to be an educator, you have a significant lack of recent events history knowledge.

You just said they got along much better.

Maybe Putin said, "Hey, Dubya, think I can get me some sweet Georgia ass? If so, I'll let you keep pretending like you actually have a competent foreign policy. No biggie though, man."

Then Dubya said, "Naw, man. No big deal at all. Just get ye some Georgie ass. We all know I'm a 'Mission Accomplished' kind of guy, so ain't no folks back in the States gonna care."

We're knotting this week.

I think he is a fascist, but is also probably one of the craftiest geopolitical operators on the main world stage these days.
