Yep I'm just glad that we don't have some ass hat that's eager to sacrifice someone else's kids for a war. A la Dick "no heart" Cheney. Our military is being scaled back I would still put my money on our boys.

If Putin wanted some, we would shut them down and I think Obama knows that.

No, we don't need a war with Russia but the problem is, not that people want to go to war over this, but that Obama has capitulated unilaterally on many positions from missile defense system in Europe, line in the sand on Syria to accepting a scam of an agreement on nuclear Iran while Russia doesn't budge. And if Putin is going to be an **** to any POTUS, we at least need a POTUS that understands that retreating and capitulating on everything shows how weak you are and that you do not understand your adversaries at all.

No, he shouldn't ignore it. He should work diplomatic channels and look at hurting them financially, but he shouldn't make threats of action when he has no intention of doing anything. He did it with Syria, and he's done it again with Russia, and by doing this he has shown the world that he is a huge wuss.

For starters, if I'm POTUS, I deploy the missile defense system in Europe yesterday. Send a carrier group to the Med, consult with our allies and get them to do the same, especially those in the region along with the UK and our traditional allies. Freeze assets as some others have mentioned. Of course you have to do the obligatory UN security council crap even though that's a toothless, socialist entity that can't find it's @$$ with both hands. But even this might be all for nothing because BO has lost so much credibility around the world at this point. But those are some starters.

Huge difference in that and this situation. Georgia was invaded at the very end of the Bush Presidency and when his approval ratings were in the toilet. Furthermore, he had a solid Congress in the other party's hand that would never have backed him up even if he wanted to support Georgia at the time.

Putin planned that invasion time wise perfectly.

don't we have most of the military options in place or close by? POTUS is talking to allies. probably talking about sanctions.

at the end of the day, we have no interest in Ukraine, just like we didn't in Georgia.
