Ukraine Protests

Even further back. Putin and the ones longing for the old empire days feel like Finland escaped their grasp in a complete fluke during the Revolution. They just slipped away without a blink. The Winter War was the means to correct that. Strategically in their minds it protects St Petersburg. The Russian nationalists have always tried pressuring Finland for port or base access through the Gulf of Finland.

So Russian Defense Ministry spokesman seems to be going with the trend that it was a BUK missile....BUT the pictures showing an I shaped fragment is only available on Ukrainian BUK's - Russian BUK fragments are not I shaped according to him.

Let the spin begin. And just an FYI this IS a Russian media source.

seems like a real easy thing to prove.

Pictures on Twitter show the Ukrainians are digging fortifications on the Azov coast. Looks like they are expecting a full-out amphibious assault on the city.

They've really stepped this up of late. They even built fortifications west of Mariupol along the coast as well. I guess they expect sea and land (maybe even air) attack from all directions to cut them off. Mariupol is too important to the Donbas as a port. If hostilities continue they will definitely try to gain this city. And intact if at all possible.

The spring fighting season is almost here. I expect hostilities to resume in full soon enough.

For Ras and Pacer - a Russian federation information site with info from June 2014 with info on separatists in possession of a Buk in Donetsk. A couple of weeks later both Russia and DNR deny they had a Buk. So did Russia lie and just forget to scrub the info?

Also on June 29, it became known that the control of the People's Republic of Donetsk passed a military unit A-1402 in Donetsk - a division of anti-aircraft missile troops, having armed with self-propelled anti-aircraft missile systems "Buk". This is the third part of the military to take control of the militias in the last few days.

I've been to the Baptist church shown around 11 minutes in on the second video. Sad to see it like that. They had a lot of good programs for the poor and the kids living on the street. That kitchen actually fed a lot of kids and some single moms. They also helped a local orphanage as well. Heartbreaking to see what pastors and church members used to tell me were days long forgotten from Soviet days now being relived.

This is Eurasianism, where everyone respects everyone else's values and identity, and no one tries to enforce their values on everyone else, like with stinking liberalism.

Might be all the booze talking, but if Putin had any sense he'd become Russia's TR and turn Siberia into a gigantic park. He'd turn into a green Hero, maintain his Manly man image by being an outdoorsman, its perfect.

Sounds like the booze talking.
