You know your life is becoming a living Ukraine thread when you wake with your TV on C-SPAN and Victoria Nuland is testifying before a Congressional hearing on Ukraine.

she's works in Europe. Kerry is the all around guy, besides i don't think we are far enough along to bring in a closer like Nuland.

She's in Canada right now getting the western provinces ready to revolt and join the US. That's why Obama hasn't approved the Keystone XL yet. He knows that it won't matter after Vickie goes in and rigs the elections and we occupy the areas where the tar sands are.

You see, it's all very clear to me now. The whole thing. It's wonderful. (cue Dave Bowman's voice from 2010)

Read up on how international law defines them in relation to wars and conflicts. ICRC and Geneva Convetion have plenty of info on the definition. Phillips cannot even keep the two straight. He goes back and forth on his tweets to justify filming POW abuse and desecration of dead soldiers. One minute he says he is a journalist. Next, he starts ranting about how war correspondents have served with distinction and don't deserve the abuse he gets from others. The man really has no clue who he is and what he actually is doing.

I have an issue with a govt or international agency defining what a journalist is... esp in the internet age. It shouldn't take any special credentials or registration. All you should need is a smartphone and an internet connection. That has been one of the criticisms with this new net neutrality bill. Diane Feinstein wants alternative news sites to have to register or have some special credential to be called a news site. If they don't pass the tests, then the FCC can shut their site down. All we will be left with is media that spits out the official govt stories and you eliminate counterpoint of views.

Again. it defines as it relates to war. And it is based mostly on the actions of the person as well. Based on what Phillips has done, what he has said, etc. he is a war correspondent and affords the treatment due them by the Geneva Convention. Don't like these rules of war? Don't go. Stay home behind your keyboard in the comfort of your chair and lob verbal bombs from thousands of miles away. Want to be in a warzone? Know how it works. And know that the side Phillips is on has no regards for the GC or any other treaty for that matter. They care less and will shoot you regardless of what treaties protect you....even ones they signed.

when its the same rules for everyone (talking journalist nationally not the net neutrality) how is it unfair? and you don't see a difference between what a civilian is and what a journalist should be? being a civilian in the right place at the right time and taking a picture doesn't make you a journalist. journalists are supposed to be detached from the situation.

I like how you're thinking now, Grand. No more small-timing it with this Keystone deal. We're going to own the whole damn thing.

First Canada, then on to Siberia!

Don't tell Ras and Pacer but this whole Western plot to tear Russia into pieces and benefit from the scraps? China's in on it too. We're trading out our debt to China with a piece of the action. Man, that Nuland is good!

Screw China. It's all or nothing for America!

well we need a land connection to Alaska, the Canada is just in the way. we have to protect our northern most Anchorages (get it?) for our Pacific Navy. the Canada was just a plot by GB too keep the US weak. the Canada is really just part of the US, and the western provinces really have more in common with Washington than London. Really just look at the culture, language, geography and trade, US>GB. any body who thinks the Canada shouldn't be part of the US is just believing the MSM.

Most people who live in reality know what the US is up to!

If you trust Putin to tell you what the US is up to you are a fool. Keep following AgitProp for your indoctrination my friend. You are merely showing you are not some independent free thinking person you claim to be. You claim to hate canned media with a bias/agenda but keep using it to back you up.

Russian UN Ambassador Churkin slipped up when he said "WE offered a quiet exit out of Debaltseve for the ATO forces" and then quickly corrected it to "DNR". It becomes difficult to keep maintaining a lie and you are bound to slip up in situations like this. Churkin just confessed and quickly had to back out to maintain the lie...

the radioactive dust when Putin decides he would rather nuke the world than give up any other power he has taken?

While Russia and the US are wasting resources squabbling over parts of eastern Europe and the Middle East, China is staying out of the fray. Over the last several decades they've steadily turned their economy into a manufacturing juggernaut. They're working a plan to transition that economy from almost exclusively trade exports to a trade services economy.

I expect China to unpeg their currency from the dollar relatively soon. When they do, their currency will rise in value rather quickly. A middle class will emerge almost overnight and its citizens will be able to afford to move into all the ghost cities they've been building.

If that is in fact their plan, how would we be able to counter it? They will no longer need USDs so we'll be in a world of hurt when our access to cheap goods gets cut off.

Who will buy the cheap goods?

first off i kinda agree that the Chinese are working on something. but i think that is about to blow up in their face. and they haven't exactly been quiet over there, they have on going disagreements with Japan, Vietnam, the Phillipines and someone else over some islands 600 miles away from their coast line. But you won't read about it in the MSM.

secondly they have been moving people in their ghost cities its just they don't have jobs, partially because they stop hiring people after they are 50 or something really low. China will be really interesting to watch over the next decade or two, i contend they are Willie Coyote with an ACME dynamite stick, in that they are more of a danger to themselves than anyone else right now. and when their 1 child plan catches up to them 30-40yrs from now they are in a whole heap of trouble.

and if china makes the economy switch you are talking about, where will they get their cheap stuff? China doesn't really develop anything anymore. they figure out how to make it cheap, crappy and bad for you but they don't really make new things and are terribly dependent on other nations for new stuff.

for lack of a better analogy they are a big @$$ oak tree that doesn't bow to the wind and is too busy pulling itself out of the ground to notice the ground is falling away beneath them.
