Ukraine Protests

Haha, Graham Phillips was detained by British police upon arriving at Heathrow.

He was released. His video he released that his mom held the camera for was really funny...or not. A lot of how credible he is and he is paid for honest day's work, etc.

Probably still is.

Are you telling me Russia isn't using a cold war mentality by fighting a proxy war in Eastern Ukraine?

I'm sure they are to an extent, which is why I've stated time and time again that we have no business instigating the situation in these former Warsaw Pact countries.

So just curious but if this is your logic why are you such a defender of Putin?

I don't defend Putin, I'm just not going to be too quick to accuse him of something just because the White House or mainstream media have him in their crosshairs. I'm all for allowing the facts to come out before doing anything or passing judgement. I'm certain that the US State Department instigated the coup in Ukraine. I'm not so certain about the details regarding the shooting down of MH-17 or if the Americans are arming Kiev or the Russians arming the rebels or to what extent. I do know what the US is capable of... and they can engage in propaganda just as much as the Russians can.

The problem that many of you have with me is that I know that the US can get down and dirty with the best (or worst) of them. You all still hold on to this illusion that we are the good guys and that our intentions are noble. I don't buy that, nor am I going to drink the Kool-aid that the White House and the American media are going to be pushing.

Russia Says Worried By IS 'Units' In CSTO Countries

Laying the groundwork for the appearance of Little Green Men?

What do you mean? They already have military presence and agreement with these countries. That's why it's called
"Collective Security Treaty Organization", keywords being "security" and "treaty".

If anything, this could be the US and Saudis doing like they've done in Syria to try and topple Assad. Plant some Islamic terrorists in Central Asia and make an excuse for US or allied troops to enter the regions.

yes because there were no problems in Syria before ISIS showed up. :eyeroll:

Passing judgment? Dude you and Pacer have the US guilty with no proof at all. Certain? How? You get on other people for carrying an opinion with no proof but you do the same thing. Just be honest. Admit you are nothing but the flipside viewpoint on who you hate.

I hold no illusions at all about the US. In nothing I said have I indicated I am a supporter of any and all US policy. I've said repeatedly my opinion is based on firsthand viewing of the situation in the region based on years of being there. I know the culture. I know how things work. I see for myself what Putin has done and continues to do. I don't need any media - MSM, Russian, or otherwise - to tell me differently than what I've seen. And I sure as heck don't need some unqualified people who have never been there but make unfounded rumors on some clearly biased site to tell me what is going on.

Like I said, you are the flip of what you hate. You drink the anybody but US koolaid and think everything is somehow linked to some US conspiracy. You support a fascist. Plain and simple. What you say the US does, Putin does far worse. The fact you cannot even say anything about Putin to the level of what you say about the US proves that. Like I said, just be honest. I can't get anything out of either of you....if you are some fascist cheerleader, don't be scared. Tell us your politics and be done with it. This veiled secrecy and attempt to hide what is pretty obvious needs to just come clean.

I like when Ras says he's not a Putin or Russia defender, yet all he ever does is defend Putin and Russia and bash the US.

It's like, dude, come on. You're not fooling anybody.

No freedom of press in the UK?

There is a difference in what he does and what British law allows for. He is a British national acting as a war correspondent which is someone who picks a side and works for media for them. He is not press. He is not a journalist. There is a distinct difference in international law. A journalist is not the same thing as a war correspondent. Add to the fact he is working for a group that the British government deems terrorists. So his actions as a national will be scrutinized by his government.

What makes one a journalist? Just curious.

Read up on how international law defines them in relation to wars and conflicts. ICRC and Geneva Convetion have plenty of info on the definition. Phillips cannot even keep the two straight. He goes back and forth on his tweets to justify filming POW abuse and desecration of dead soldiers. One minute he says he is a journalist. Next, he starts ranting about how war correspondents have served with distinction and don't deserve the abuse he gets from others. The man really has no clue who he is and what he actually is doing.

Are you implying that a manual written by a low level contractor never approved for publication in the mid 80's is somehow involved with Russian opposition parties in 2015? Where is this tinfoil theory going?

I was curious about this so I read some of the links. I found this segment in the 1984 Presidential debate interesting.

MS. GEYER: Mr. President, in the last few months it has seemed more and more that your policies in Central America were beginning to work. Yet, just at this moment, we are confronted with the extraordinary story of a CIA guerrilla manual for the anti-Sandinista contras whom we are backing, which advocates not only assassinations of Sandinistas but the hiring of criminals to assassinate the guerrillas we are supporting in order to create martyrs. Is this not, in effect, our own state-supported terrorism?

THE PRESIDENT: No, but I'm glad you asked that question, because I know it's on many peoples' minds. I have ordered an investigation. I know that the CIA is already going forward with one. We have a gentleman down in Nicaragua who is on contract to the CIA, advising -- supposedly on military tactics -- the contras. And he drew up this manual. It was turned over to the agency head of the CIA in Nicaragua to be printed. And a number of pages were excised by that agency head there, the man in charge, and he sent it on up here to CIA, where more pages were excised before it was printed. But some way or other, there were 12 of the original copies that got out down there and were not submitted for this printing process by the CIA.

This indicates the official position is that somehow unapproved manuals got mixed up with the approved manuals that were distributed in Nicaragua. I don't buy it, but I'm not sure what's worse.... either somebody making 6 figures on a CIA contract is too incompetent to work at Staples, or we have almost no oversight of these guys performing the "contracts", or the government was complicit and covered it up.

Actually, I hope the government was complicit and covered it up.

Quite a list of false flags that site has

Nations All Over the World CONFESS to Carrying Out False Flag Terrorism Washington's Blog

Who will ever forget the Québécois rock carriers?

I've never heard this one before. If true, it's pretty interesting considering the recent events in Libya.

(31) A Mossad agent admits that, in 1984, Mossad planted a radio transmitter in Gaddaffi’s compound in Tripoli, Libya which broadcast fake terrorist trasmissions recorded by Mossad, in order to frame Gaddaffi as a terrorist supporter. Ronald Reagan bombed Libya immediately thereafter.

Not that interesting, really.

Mum had to hold his camera for him. The guy was probably released because they saw he's just a tool and not worth even writing a report on him.
