^^^ that being said I wouldn't be shocked if we did have agents over there, keeping an eye on things, probably waiting with a Polaroid for whenever Putin shows up to finally prove Russian involvement. On a serious note they are probably over there gathering information, locations and troop movements and possibly providing more weapons to the Ukrainians. if that was there involvement i wouldn't see an issue if Ukraine asked for it, and if they are coordinating with the troops there has been some agreement made.

dear lord, somebody hired american mercenaries (i don't care, that's what I believe they are). and i like how the 'self proclaimed mayor' is the one determining who is CIA and who isn't. If there is sooooo much proof of CIA involvement lets see some names, ranks, serial numbers (or whatever passes for it in the CIA). proof is a two way street.

If the involvement of John Kerry, Joseph Biden, John McCain, Victoria Nuland and several top military advisers amongst others, doesn't 'prove' the CIA was involved from the very beginning I don't know what else to tell you my man?!

uhm hasn't Putin and several others been making trips to Ukraine as well? pretty sure the Germany and Poland had some adviser in the area as well. Heck China might have had an envoy or two stop by too.

This is laughable and after the fact that the Crimea voted to join Russia. Not prior to, trying to influence Crimeans by jumping up and down on a stage like a bunch of jackasses!

I'm curious to know what some of your opinions, particularly you military guys, are on the NATO alliance. Despite the constant "they're all America's lackeys" comments you see on less congenial sites, I think we really get screwed and would definitely get screwed in a major encounter (in terms of the amount of our money, resources, and manpower that would be dedicated as opposed to others). I kind of like our natural alliance with the English-speaking world (it's just natural, for the most part, and you need some friends), but, other than that, I don't really care.

Involved doing what?

ok, this was the point i was making, it was laughable to say just because someone visits that there is a foul plot afoot, i seriously doubt this is Putin's first time in Crimea. I was trying to point out the fact the world leaders visit other countries all the time, heck Putin and 20 other world leaders just descended on Australia and nothing happened there, we were there too, where's the CIA plot there? these trips Kerry and others made, were planned for and had legitimate reasons.

Gazprom, Russia’s state-controlled natural gas company, said Tuesday that it would cancel a discount for natural gas supplies to Ukraine, as of April 1. Russia offered the discount in December after Mr. Yanukovych decided to strengthen ties with Moscow instead of the European Union.

old article, maybe even posted before, but lots of good stuff in it.

In addition, a key element of the American plan to reverse the Russian intervention — sending international monitors — seems to have no particular appeal for the Kremlin. The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe is sending an initial group of 10 monitors to Ukraine. The United States and other Western nations would like to see that number increased so that monitors could widen their visits to include not only eastern Ukraine but eventually Crimea while Russian troops return to their barracks. But Russia has not supported such a move.

I'm not working now.

Didn't realize China is spending this much more than Russia.

imo they are scared white about domestic issues. and they keep bumping into people there to the South East of them, pretty sure their 'national waters' make it down to Australia by now.
