Russia to G-20: We're here. So are our warships.

Russia is strong, ya'll. You don't want to awaken the sleeping bear. Trust me, you don't want to do it. They'll station warships outside your little economic summit. It will frighten and intimidate you.

interesting to see that the German Prime Minister also believes Russia to be violating the Ukrainian border, and Ras was here talking about how Germany didn't back/believe the 'anti-Russia' propaganda a while ago.

Well, we did bomb Lybia to support the rebels. And what do you think was the purpose of the CIA Annex in Benghazi?

To steal all their oil.

Hey, military guys, I want to know what you all think concerning why the Russian military/intelligence is so much more tight-lipped than ours. It seems that this has historically been the case, but I would like to hear your opinion. My only uneducated guess is because Russian traitors (Litvenko) know they'll be killed, whereas maybe American ones (Snowden par exemplar - as a sidenote, I'm still not certain why we haven't labelled him a Russian spy, which he was) can get away with it.

Absolutely right! To leak classified information in Russia=death. In America, it is a political statement. We don't follow our laws on the disclosure of classified information anymore. Civilians who are cleared (I.e. Snowden) are subject to fines up to 500k and a life imprisonment sentence. During time of war (military or civilian), intentional disclosure is treason punishable up to death.

Are you like me and believe Snowden is a Russian spy?

Just a hypocritical dickhead, huh? I can buy that too.

His cover was blown and he would never have any further access to classified information. At that point, if he was a Russian Agent, they would have announced it to the world since he would have been "useless" for any further intelligence work. Useless except for the propaganda win that Putin always strives for.

Screensaver for Ras, saviors of the world edition.

I can just hear each of them shouting their respective letter out of the B-R-I-C-S as they slap their hands together. "When our forces unite, we save the world from tyranny, oppression, Jews, and liberal democracy!"

I've just always found it interesting that a man so concerned about individual rights and liberties would flee to two countries (taking up residence in the second) with even worse records of human rights abuses.

That's some ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Canada gets it.

Harper Uses Handshake to Tell Putin to

“I guess I’ll shake your hand but I have only one thing to say to you: you need to get out of Ukraine,” Harper told Putin, the prime minister’s spokesman Jason MacDonald said in an e-mail.

Putin’s response to the comment wasn’t positive, MacDonald said, without elaborating. Putin and Harper talked briefly, according to Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

“Indeed Harper told Putin that Russia should leave Ukraine,” Peskov said by phone today in Brisbane. “Putin told him that this is impossible because they are not there.”

Funny man. Very funny.
