Ukraine Protests

The Ole Miss/Boise game is actually pretty decent. Sloppy play on both sides, but a decent game.

Yeah, I've got it on right now. I've only caught the last few minutes since I was witnessing the beat-down of USC and hog.

I'll remind you all again: I've read a 600-page book on Russian history.

Don't mess with me.

Good god almighty!

You don't just waltz into the Ukraine thread and try to tell volprof what it's all about.

I've read a 600-page Russian history book, by god.

I was just fumbling between CNN and the SEC games tonight and caught a report from a British female reporter on the ground in eastern Ukraine. Anderson Cooper was asking her about the possibility of "Russian volunteers" in Ukraine, and she responded, very matter-of-factly, "Yes, they're volunteers, if you like seeing tanks."

Saw that. I thought she said, sarcastically, "yeah, volunteers . . . with tanks."

Really? I saw that there were six interceptions thrown in the first half. Not really moving my excitement meter.

Russia now claiming that the photo evidence of Russian troop movements into Ukraine is imagery from a video game.

I know our govt. rams a big one up our rears constantly, but has there ever been a govt. more insulting to the human intellect than Russia's?

CNN just had a Russian opposition parliamentarian on. Apparently, he is the only politician in Russia to vote against the mainline approach to Ukraine thus far. Fairly young guy. He sounded like the only person in Russia to actually have common sense and acknowledge things for what they are.

At the end, the anchor asked if he was concerned for his personal safety (as I was wondering the entire time as well), and he said the Russian govt. had frozen his accounts and forbade him from traveling internationally, but that he was going to speak his mind no matter what.

Brave man.

Sheesh. Next thing you know, Media will say Putin bungee jumped without the bungee and survived unhurt because he is so BA. Am I right Kim Jong-Un?

You mean you fellers don't think a North Korean was the first to land on the Sun?

Just can't convince some people.

Seriously, though, the Russian govt. has handled this one about like the dude who used to be Burhead's avatar. There are no Americans in Iraq, he says, as B-2s and F-18s fly over in the background and as M1s can be heard in the distance.
