No, there is not. Just like there wouldn't be one to prevent NATO running drills in and around the Sea of Okhostk if it wanted.

Wait, is there a restriction against them entering an internationally recognized waterway?

i did find it interesting that the French mentioned there was a limit to the number of times they could use that waterway. no idea where that comes from, or why the English and the French wouldn't want random military craft (of any nation) in their backyard. One of those last two comments was sarcasm btw.

It is simply amazing to me how a country like ours can have so many communists and collectivists within its borders. The Bill of Rights seems to be unpopular with many 'Muricans.

or maybe its because we have the FREEDOM to choose, unlike 99% of the rest of the countries on this planet. MURICA! I would really like to hear how often Pacer/Ras/doe have been outside this country. I found on my one trip (extensive body of experience) outside the border to be eye opening how free we are. Be glad you guys are posting in America and not somewhere else where you would either be shot, or thrown in jail for dissent.

There is?

from the article:
But a NATO official and France's navy denied that the Russian crews were holding exercises or that there was even any cause for concern —although they did not deny their presence. "They're just waiting in a zone where they can be several times a year," said the French Navy's information service.

where they can be several times a year implies a limit, at least to me. couldn't find any more information on this limit though.

Kind of an interesting look at what is going on in Europe/Russia with respect to immigration/nationalism/demographics.

Is This The End of Europe? | The XX Committee

Some interesting things in this article. while playing the what if game: it will be interesting to see what happens when enough european nations undergo a demographic flip and start having to deal with other races. The few Europeans I know are incredibly racist towards black people.

also a bit of false information/ blowing out of proportion with the Catholic schisms. Since the late 80s, i think, the RCC has worked with several of the Orthodox Churches and some of the major spin offs to align certain aspects. (what readings are said in church, alignment of the church calendars etc) so to say there is a complete separation is a bit false, JP2 went a long way on mending wounds.

What do you mean? The Catholic and Orthodox churches have been repairing relations?

so to speak. they aren't going to join back up, but I think we've got beyond the 'they're going to hell because they don't like my flavor of Christianity' stage

another way of looking at it might be better: instead of looking at each other and seeing the differences we are now looking at each other and seeing the similarities and trying out a relationship of mutual respect/borderline friendship.

I follow what's happening in the western church a little (for a protestant).

Pretty clueless what's happening in the eastern church. I really should pay more attention to it, to know what's going on.

ZeroHedge had a story a few months back that I posted regarding prostitutes in Venezuela making a better living off of currency exchanges than they were off of hooking. Prostitutes usually do better during a currency crash because they don't need to accept recognized local legal tender. They can barter or use more stable foreign currencies.
