Ostensibly over the government's refusal to move toward the European Union, though undoubtedly there's more to the story.

The nationalists in Ukraine were coopted by TPTB, this resulted in a fraticide war that benefits nobody other thant the PTB.

Dozens Of Tanks Enter Ukraine From Russia

NATO sources have confirmed the Russian military invasion of Ukraine after a column of 32 Russian tanks entered the country.

The convoy made up of 32 tanks, 16 howitzer cannons and 30 trucks of troops and equipment crossed the border into the rebel-controlled Luhansk region.

"The deployment continues of military equipment and Russian mercenaries to the front lines," Ukraine's military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said in a televised briefing.

The news sparked panic in Russia's currency market, with the euro reaching the 60 ruble mark for the first time, in a year when it has lost more than a third of its value against the US dollar.

Get your laughs in now...

You think you're some sort of prophet. It doesn't take a wizard to acknowledge the fact that one day the dollar will collapse, one day another form(s) of currency will replace it, and one day the US will no longer be a superpower or at least the sole superpower. Everybody knows this will happen.

Will it happen like you say, maybe. But I'll reserve my inner-Nostradamus braggadocio for the time being.

Does he have Ras beat?

Paul Craig Roberts makes Ras look like an American ultranationalist. I think someone in Washington must have really pissed that guy off. Banged his wife or something, assuming he even has one. Seems like an old ornery curmudgeon to me.

The Russians have moved a column of 32 tanks and 16 howitzers into the Ukraine. Things are starting to get bad.

When he confirms it, I'll believe it! :p

haha! Kudos and no ill will here.

The guy said in that last article that the last war the US won was against a wimpy and little Japan. I mean, seriously. Can you take a guy like that honest? If it wasn't for us, China would be a crater right now. Japan was so technologically superior to them, it wasn't even fair.

And as far as US conventional capabilities are concerned, we've done nothing than to open a big ole' can of whoop-ass on everyone who has confronted us conventionally since then. Korea was a bit of an exception. We never really committed ourselves fully to it, and it's kind of difficult to fight a dedicated enemy when you're 8,000 miles away and not immediately threatened. By some estimates, Saddam's military was the fourth or fifth biggest in the world. We blew it to smithereens not once but twice.

We have problems with guerrilla warfare and insurgencies. As every nation in the history of ever has experienced.

Paul Craig Roberts is a dick.

The american military is the most powerful in the history of humankind, too bad it is used and controlled for the interest of a minority that care none about the american people.

One thing I've been meaning to ask you, Rasputin. Why did you choose Rasputin? Wasn't he a rogue?

Why didn't you choose Nevsky, Rurik, Chuikov, or some other real Russian hero?

He should have chosen Ivan the Terrible,Peter the Great or Stalin.

real russian heroes are the ones who fought againsts the evil bolsheviks.

Eh, the Bolsheviks were just trying to spread their vision of international utopianism (which meant lots of people dying in the process).

They weren't, however, necessarily more or less evil than the Russian Empire.

They were all a bunch of lash-whippers, as far as I'm concerned.

And Putin is the lead one now.

And, is it just me, or does he seriously look like a Poothead? I mean, seriously?
