Kentucky just lost a close game to Florida at Rupp Arena. What do you think that means for the Vols game with UK on Tuesday?

kent's lose helps us out a lot. there's no way we wouldve caught florida anyway in the east race but kent is still catchable since they have 3 losses now....HUGE game tuesday...if tenn wins, we'll have enough momentum to earn us a tourny bid.

I don't think it means anything for the game on Tuesday, but those Kentucky fans sure got in Noah's head. 6 points, fouled out, and he actually took a swing at a cheerleader's pom-poms (not a pun) out of frustration.

Hopefully our fans can do the same when Florida comes to Knoxville.

For real, but you can probably look for Kensucky to have the game of their lives..
Yeah, Murphy's Law and all.

Hopefully we can bring the same sort of perimeter D we had against Vandy today to Kentucky next week. Also, if Chism keeps playing like he has been, he should be able to handle Morris on the inside. Wayne seems to be more of a pure athlete than Morris. Faster, too.

I think if we play the type of intense defense like we did today against Vandy we have a great shot of beating Kentucky.

All the Vols have to do is get Mr. Magic Fax in trouble and they win.

Tennessee has a 13-0 home streak going on...
As Crash Davis would say, "Never f#$% with a streak." Hope you didn't just curse Tuesday.

In reality, the UF win did help in the ultimate goal of trying to catch a 2nd place finish in the East as that would be an almost automatic bid to the tourney. Need the win Tuesday as that would make life easy needing only 2 wins in the final 5 to get the magical .500 record needed to make the 65.

Kentucky is a very win-able game. I expect for us to win the game, we typically play well at home, and this will be one of the games our crowd does show up for. Lofton should be in pretty good shape, nice we could play him relatively sparingly against the 'dores.

I didn't view that as the fans doing anything. I thought the officiating inside the friendly confines of Rupp arena were determined to make sure Florida played game without the benefit of Horford or Noah. Those two guys got off the bus in foul trouble and were consequently unable to make full contributions. Call it "home-cooking" or "tightly-called inside," but it was certainly to UK's benefit.

A 2nd place finish would also give us a bye in the SEC tourney, which is a huge advantage.

we'll need an anser for their big guy. Chism and Crews will need to play well.

i think it will be a very close game....if we hit ft's and KY struggle beyond the arc again, i like our chances.

but i kind of am with OWB on this...they won't have that bad a game again, at least from 3 pt range anyway...

close hard fought game is what i see coming. huge game...both teams need this win.

Tubby teams can't shoot for crap at Rupp. Don't know why, it just is. I'm looking for a blistering pace.
