I just bought tickets to come to my first game at Neyland Stadium against Kentucky, I am from Baton Rouge but I am a Vols fan. What are some things I need to know for gameday? What is the parking situation? Is there a place to tailgate? The wife and I are pretty excited, were LSU season ticket holders and the schedule played out to where we can finally make a game this year. Geaux Vols!

Parking can be had for free in a number of garages downtown.

Parking in Downtown Knoxville | Parking Garages & Lots

Market Square is pedestrian only area in downtown with a lot of restaurants and bars but not sure what has survived the shutdowns.

A place for burgers and the Knoxville style steamed sandwiches is Good Times Deli on 17th Street near Cumberland aka the Strip. Usually a long wait on game days but might be a lot easier this season.

Thanks, I get nine kinds of hell being from South Louisiana and being a Vols fan, Im glad I found this site because the Vols page on Tigerdroppings is dead
I live in Georgia, not too far from Athens. Everybody around me gives me crap, even married a dawg fan😂. I've come to hate Georgia as much as any other team out there! Love Louisiana though! Only drove through once on our way to San Antonio to watch my oldest daughter graduate basic from the Air Force, but I loved going through there. My pastor is from Mississippi, and grew up fishing in Louisiana, he's been trying to get me to go.

Want some good TN BBQ... Try Sweet Ps Downtown Dive. Great spot, lots of funky decor, tons of world fair memorabilia and half price wings on game day. Lots of TN beers also. My favorite place.

You need to come on, go down to Venice and you can catch bass and redfish then take a short ride and be in blue water fishing for tuna, I love living here between the people, food and the outdoors we have, the heat and humidity suck but thats part of it. We definitely have our problems with crime and alot of stuff the public never hears about that we deal with at the fire department but I still love it here. If I ever leave south Louisiana though it will be for East Tennessee
