I was at that game too. Terrible weather and ever more humiliating loss to Ky. I actually feared frostbite that day, I had no feeling in my toes or fingers. Stayed in the bathroom the whole halftime and left at the end of the 3rd quarter. I’ve been to several UK/UT games in Lexington and most of the time it was bitterly cold and the wind whipped through that stadium from all directions. Lexington in November is not a good place to be.Sat on ice covered bleachers way back when during a loss. Vowed never to go there again.
It is a cold place. The wind feels like it is hitting you from every direction.
I have been there 8 times. It was always really easy to get great tickets. Almost as easy as Vandy tickets. My first wife's bossy first husband was a UK alumni. It was tough being the stepfather to a Wildcats fan.
Haven't been to a game since 2013, except 2 bowl games. Dooley and the AD made me swear off actively supporting what was going on. I'll go back to Neyland someday.
Kentucky always feels like it is 10-15 colder than West TN and they got a LOT more snow there than us; at least when I was a kid and I had cousins up there we visited..I was at that game too. Lexington is a sleepy little town? I have been to 49 states and 35 countries and it is one of our favorite places anywhere. Some people seem to disagree with you:I went in 2023 and we had a good time. The fans weren’t bad at all surprisingly. Lexington is a sleepy little town and the game day pre-game is weak sauce. We sat in the end zones and got our seats through UT.
