The UK game actually worries me a little more with each passing year. I mean, They have to win eventually...don't they?

True that. And I prefer the streak not snap when we're closing down a great season.

I used to just feel sorry for these idiots but last year made me hate the morons even more. Almost as obnoxious and belligerent as UGA fans are.

Fortunately, they don't. The "law of averages" is a logical fallacy.

The Law of Averages thinking - A belief by gamblers that the more often you win or lose the more likely your luck will change on the next try. If you flip a coin and it lands heads 10 times in a row, what are the odds that it will land heads on the 11th try? Answer 1:1. What about after 100 times in a row? Again it is 1:1. The odds are the same on each toss! The Readers Submitted Examples page has more on this topic.

Glossary of Mathematical Mistakes

Sadly, based on our DL problems, this could actually be their year... assuming out offense isn't going gangbusters by then.

In the unlikely event that they actually DO beat us, I hope they destroy their stadium like the idiot Dawgs fans did when they finally beat us back in 2000.

No, you are not. I couldn't even find anything provocative. UT has some fans that act like jerks to fans of opposing teams. UT has some fans that are nice to fans of opposing teams. Not exactly front page stuff.

With the amount of ridiculosity that is posted on that board on a regular basis, I really expected something more.

I found this much more entertaining:

Tennessee Reinstates Two Suspended from Bar Beatdown - Wildcat Nation Forums - Kentucky Wildcat Discussion and News

Or this:
Football Cats have 11 winnable games on schedule

Or this:

"3) One game that I'm extremely excited about is the last game of our regular season. The Tennessee game. Every year this game is a heart breaker for sure. We come so close but just slip up. Last year I thought we were evenly matched and I still feel like we should've won but some questionable play calling got in the way. This year I think we will be a better team. We have more weapons offensively and defiantly more experience and structure at the quarterback spot. The biggest challenges to overcome in this game are the crowd and history!! Mentally we have to believe we can win. And I certainly think we do. Also with a win in this game I really feel like we have a chance to be at best 10-2 (a little wishful thinking here)."

Come on guys, dig a little deeper.

Glass houses, bro. Didn't we parade a goal post up and down the strip before throwing it in the river after beating Florida sometime around 1998? Wasn't there a very expensive ESPN camera attached to it that UT had to pay for? And that was only the end of a six year losing streak. Well worth it though. :)

Just like they should know they have both good fans and bad, we should be aware as well. It makes me sad to think that in the future if I have kids I may not be able to take them to an away game simply because fans don't know how to be "good winners" or "good losers".

Every fanbase has rednecks. Every fanbase has drunks. Every fanbase has good folks that are polite and make it an enjoyable experience.

I want us to beat Kentucky and every other team, but I think it is beyond despicable to ruin another fan's experience especially if they have a family or kids with them and have done nothing to deserve insults/stuff thrown on them/etc.

Just wish all fans had a bit more class.

Kentucky fans don't bother me one bit. In nashville it's the vandy fans....... holy schnikie they're annoying

If you think Vandy fans are bad, Try living in B'ham. The Bammers are extremely arrogant and annoying. Even more so (if possible) these days. But, I still get a big kick out of telling them I'm a Tennessee guy. It always gets some kind of reaction.

I agree that it was worth it, but part of that was fueled by the belief that UF was the only team between UT and a national title game. That turned out to be true. The only thing UK would be able to celebrate is the fact that they would get to start a new losing streak the next year.

I don't see this happening, since the game is in Knoxville.

From my standpoint the Kittens can NEVER be allowed to win. I have 7 UK grads in the family.....my entire family is from North Central KY. I am obviously the blacksheep.....and they have never forgotten it. They are my family, and I love them all, but they all fit the description of arrogant, misguided Kat fans to a tee.

This game gives me the greatest pucker-factor every year. I am way more invested in its outcome.

God help me when we do lose to them.

I am proud to say I had a piece of that goal post on my sholder as we took it across the field. I didn't go out of the stadium with it (went up and over an ambulance in the tunnel) because I thought it would be more fun to throw clods at the Florida band.
