I live near Bowling Green and my job covers northern Middle Tennessee and central Ky up to Louisville. I've never seen UK fans get this excited about a football game. They seem to think we will have a let down game and they have the stones to beat us. Sorta has me worried. I drive a vehicle that leaves no doubt that I'm a vols fan and have been catching it this week from UK fans. I've never seen them with this much football confidence before.

The only chance they have, is the fact that they are on our schedule, other than that technicality, they have no chance to beat us, or to even keep it close, I may go trick or treating. Just kidding, I will be watching the game somewhere I hope, if only on my phone.

Don't get your hopes up Ky, you have no real chance.

Go Vols!

They are not a bad team. We are not a great team -- yet. Their house, we have lost key players, and we have to refocus after a killer loss. It's Halloween. This will be scarier than some of you think.

Well, KY has these things called "fans" that are more interested in building their team up than tearing them down so I would expect nothing less TBH. Good on them for supporting their team.

They will lose.

Tennessee can't expect to beat teams with their B and C game. So they better be focused on the task at hand or Kentucky could beat them. We're not a great team. Play like we did against Arky and the pitchfork squad will be out for Butch's head because they will lose.

Well, they should be. After all it is college football. We better not go to sleep on the Cats...:whistling:

GO VOLS!

It must be a residual vibe from Western KY football. I live and work in Lexington and everybody I've talked to is anticipating a beat down by the Vols......

UK played a lot better this year and we are playing them at their house so they could make it a tough game but UT will still roll out of there with a win.

Agree. We should win, but I don't think it will be a blowout.

what is the line on this game? has it been released yet? I suspect the effort shown in the Bama game widens the spread from what it would have been.

Poor guys are confused. Basketball doesn't begin until 2 more weekends. I do think Kentucky is much better than they have been in the past but we only lose to Kentucky when we have a joke as a coach and go against a WR playing QB. Jones has done a good job of getting the team ready each and every week and I expect this to be the same. Jones tells the team we aren't out of the East quite yet and we need to take care of business. Nobody tell the team the UGA/FL score unless UGA is winning.

So UK are delusional? What does that say about our fan-base???? Oregon, Oklahoma X2, Bama X9, UF X 11, etc., etc.

It's called fandom. Of course they think they have a shot vs. UT.

Kentucky beating UT is like us beating Florida. I'll believe it when I see it. They have a solid team but they got throttled by MSU. I think we win by 14+

I would argue that we are a very good team. People here seem to only see wins and losses, but the team this year has been competitive and had an opportunity to win against every team we have played this year. That includes multiple teams in the discussion for the CFP. Kentucky on the other hand just lost to a bad Auburn team at home and got whooped by Miss St on the road. Their defense is awful this year. We would have to come out very flat in order to give them a chance.

I'm hoping Lyle grasps the importance of beating the perenial cellar dwellars of the conference better than he grasps the historical significance of beating our traditional rivals. I truly believe, not being an SEC guy, he just doesn't get the gravity of these matchups in a historical context.

That said....the UK game scares me this year.
