until the defense can not even take a breath because the have been on the field for 90% of the snaps in the game.....estimated time of melt down.......5 minutes left in 3rd

I think at any rate that Florida can score more than that offensively. With UT's offensive woes, your defense is going to spend most of the game on the field and by the end should be fairly tuckered out.

If Crompton plays like himself, then Florida's defense may score more points than your offense and special teams combined.

Everyone knows Florida is fast, and that speed isn’t lost on Tennessee defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.

Kiffin has been watching film of the Gators’ spread-option offense almost since he arrived on campus in January, and team speed shows up on nearly every clip.

“I think what they do at the University of Florida, whatever you run the 100 meters in, they give you that jersey number. Percy Harvin had (No.) 1. (Jeff) Demps wears 2, and (Chris) Rainey wears 3,” Kiffin said, smiling. “The way I look at it, Percy Harvin runs a 10.1 100 meters. Then you have a 10.2 and a 10.3 That’s pretty fast isn’t it? They ought to be on a track relay team, the 4x100. They’ve got speed. It’s unbelievable.”

His praise for Florida’s offense didn’t stop there, either.

“I’ve never seen an offense this good, and I’ve seen some pretty good ones,” he said. “The Oakland Raiders that we played in the Super Bowl had the No. 1 offense in the NFL and set the record for most yards ever. All due respect, they weren’t this good. These guys are unbelievable.”

It's been publicized for quite some time now that Monte and Urban Meyer are very good friends.

The thing that's been impressive about florida in recent years is that they don't turn the ball over. They seem to have a fairly complex offense--throw the ball all over the field, a lot of ball fakes, misdirection, the whole nine yards--and they execute amazingly well and don't have foulups. We run a vanilla offense and muff handoffs, throw interceptions, receivers and QBs don't seem to know what they should be doing half the time--it's sad.

Are you talking about UT this year or previous years? I think we can cut some slack this year for a first-year offense.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but does anyone have the link or know where the link is to the story that talks about Monte forgetting there he had Eric Berry lined up in practice. He thought EB was lined up wrong or in the wrong position but he just forgot what position he was playing?

Or the story where EB audibled out of the play that he though would cause a huge mismatch but Monte called it anyway and EB was actually right?
