UGA Favored by 1 over Vols

Georgia's going to win this game by 2 TD's.... I hate it, but Tennessee has no shot to win this game. Richt is good on the road and nobody, NOBODY fears coming to Neyland any more. That will change shortly (like 2010 or 2011...) but for now, going to Knoxville is like going to Lexington or Starkville.... No worries, mate....

You noticed this too? Quite frankly Neyland hasn't been the same since the early 90's but you are right, no one bats an eye coming to Knoxville anymore. Our 12th man fans did all they could to help the defense and it was useless.

Turn off the jumbotron during the game.. and the crowd will come back.. Other than that.. it's the "entertain me" generation, and the fans would rather watch instant replay than go hoarse by the end of the first half. Sucks really...

The blue hairs are why Neyland isn't very loud anymore. Way too many of them in there every week and if you stand and cheer in front of them, they'll ask you to sit down. They should give the older ones the best seats in the house all in one section and let the rest be students and younger generations.

Oh yeah, Georgia will win this game. They're a decent team that can play a little offense and sometimes defense. Sadly that's about all it takes, this year anyway.

I was at the game Saturday night and wanted to thank the Vol fans for the after-game beverages... Based on what I saw Saturday night - and from what I have seen from UGA on TV - I think you guys have a more-than-decent chance for a W against the Dawgs...
This is one AU fan that feels fortunate to leave TN with a win... Good luck this weekend and the rest of the season!

UT wins this game by 10-13---UGA looked worse in their game than UT. Their D is terrible and Cox is not much better than Crompton. UT 27-UGA 14.

So far this season we are in the exact same position we were last year, win/loss wise.

At this point last season we were 2-3 with loses to UCLA, Florida, and Auburn and beating two non-SEC teams (although I think Ohio is better then most people think).

So guys where do we go from here? Last year we lost to Georgia 26-14 in Athens.

If we lose to Georgia, we are on pace for the same year as last (if not maybe 1 more loss more since this season we play Ole Miss instead of Miss. State).

If we win the Georgia game, not only will this keep us probably on pace for the same wins/losses as last year but maybe this will get us the motivation we need for the rest of the season.

The only way this UT team can beat Georgia is to get better QB work. I thought Crompton did a great job when it was too late against Auburn. If he ran a hurry up offense more often I think he wouldn't think as much and act more on his natural talent which he has.

Good luck against Georgia and the rest of the season.

Lol, they weren't rushing the passer in the hurry up. They were playing a soft cover two and Crompton was hitting the underneath. Teams won't play him that way the whole game, they'll get after him again and he'll fold like a tent. The hurry up isn't the answer, because there isn't a answer. It is what it is.

Combine the two stats and UT is up against a 46-8 number in getting a win Saturday. Tall order? :ermm:

I just hope the team is as focused on the bad call by the refs as their fans are all week. UGA is there for the taking this week, but those trends are worrisome.

I still think UT wins this game. I have said it from the beginning.

I was skeptical against Auburn and UCLA. The only games I have been certain about the outcome is UF, WKY, and Ohio.

I just think UT matches up well against the dawgs and gets it together for a win.

bad defense against a bad offense. Great Defense against a good offense. I don't believe UGA's offense is too complicated to read like Auburn's. Joe Cox Passing will provide possible EB14 interceptions. Our running game should be able to get through the UGA Defense.

Interesting that the line has moved from UGA favored by 1 to a pic-em. Same as last week, early action on UT.
THAT didn't work out too well.

Tennessee looked pretty bad against AU. i'm not sure they win a game this month. offense and special teams put our defense in alot of bad positions that are hard to recover from... UGA probably puts it on us this week we are stacked full of injuries and cant seem to put it together on 0ffense

I agree with you, auburns offense was very hard to prepare for and uga should be easier to prepare for from a defensive stand point. I think ut gets the win.

Tennessee is horrible. Unless we get everyone healthy in the trenches and Jeff Owens decides not to show up, we have no shot at winning this game.

If we use the hurryup 2 minute offense the entire game we will win this game against Georgia!
