UGA fans threaten to checker Neyland

The right to complain as does being a season ticket holder since the 1960's. If you don't see that then I can't help you. After all there is no one so blind who will not see...
I love the "if you don't ... insert whatever here.... then I can't help you". It's kinda like "let that sink in". Very popular thing to say.

I'll be at home, having sold my tickets because of the apathy oozing from the UT administration that shows no concern than to allow a once proud program to languish in mediocrity. I am sick of it and do not care any more what anyone thinks. I have been attending UT games since 1968, graduated from the school and thus, have earned the right to sell my tickets for whatever price the market will bear and to whomever I wish.

I am waiting to see signs that this $hit$how of a football program has a pulse. Early returns are grim.

Goodbye, Felicia.

Those kids wearing orange won’t understand any message that’s being sent, I’m still at a loss how this helps the situation..

I get the frustration, but as fans we get 6-8 of these a year, we wait ALL year for them... Baffling honestly.

Evidently my "plan" doesn't sit well with a lot of you guys. I must confess, I stole the plan, from this board, it comes from other strings, it looks like it is actually a diabolical plan hatched in Georgia, and heading here. But, wait, that doesn't make it a stupid, idiotic plan does it?

I don’t understand why fans think the admin dioes not want to win. Pruitt was not our 1st choice. Other coaches did not want the job, including Mullen, Kelly, and others. The admin has made mistakes and certain boosters have too much power, however, the administration wants to win.
Hopefully things will improve within two yrs but I too am hesitant to have hope.

Because the Admin hires dumb coaches and won't fork up the big bucks to get a winner like Alabama did with Nick Saban.

Season ticket holders already gave that money away. Show up, sell to a vol fan or be super awesome and donate to Vol fans who wouldn’t be able to normally go.

UT admin has screwed up but the fans have tried in the past to take ownership of the program ala the Schiano fiasco. Want to do the right thing for the players and the program? Be responsible with the tickets you’ve already bought.

Stop it. Making sense around here won’t get you far. Only posting self serving, sanctimonious crap about your ticket usage or cherry picking stats and game scores about how other programs are doing with their first year coach will get you held in high regard.

I don't even know what this means. In an effort to lash out at someone you don't even know you seem to have missed the point of what I was trying to say. That's okay. Enjoy the game. Maybe we can win. They play the games for a reason, after all.

The fan base hasn't "endured" anything! LMAO!! We aren't talking about cancer, job loss, the plague, addiction, war.....we're talking about following a college football team. A fully voluntary thing at that!

Self-rightousness. haha
You drip with sanctimony.

I don't blame anyone for not attending the coming Little Bighorn. Being a real TN fan is tribal and someone would have to a masochist to watch it on person. To me its also anout being entertained. IMO, there will be nothing entertaining to see. I will check back after the Bama game, to see if we can salvage the 1-6 start.

The powers that be do not care what color shirt you are wearing Saturday as long as you BUY tickets and BUY beer and BUY hotdogs and cokes and shakers and whatever else they can force down your throat...It's a business and they are in it to make money and they will and we will get to see our beloved stadium over run with red and black rats and the only way to exterminate them is to put a winning product on the field.

Actually UT had too high of expectations at first. Gruden? Come on folks. Look what it took for Gruden to coach again. And so far, he's looking quite questionable anyway. While we wasted months trying to find the next Saban/Belicheck, many, many other great coaches got jobs. Most that declined already had an under the table agreement. By the time we were done chasing Tier 1 coaches, we lost all the Tier 2 n 3 to other schools. Pruitt may turn out good but an instant changer he is not. The guy was coaching HS just a very few years ago. UT deserves a great team and when things don't happen in 2-3 yrs and we say "See ya" to that coach, other coaches see. Recruits see. This fan base must learn patience. At least up to 3-4 years. Once there's no improvement with that coaches players, no more excuses.
Sorry for the rant. I just read n never post

No, that's not right at all.

So, the stoic philosophy : control what you can. Endure all the rest. Don't waste any time or effort worrying about the things beyond your control. Just be the best person (fan) you can within your own limits.

What the University administration does or doesn't do is beyond your control. Whether the team wins or loses, that's beyond your control.

What you (and I, and everyone here) controls is this: what we do as fans. Do we wear orange, stay true, and show up? Or do we throw a fit, stay home, "protest"?

That is under your control. Don't blame that on anyone else. Not anyone else.

Go Vols!
It's totally someone's right to express their opinion how they see fit. If not going to the game is how they do it, why should you care?

You fan preachers are getting on my nerves.

Can you count the number of days between the third saturday in October, 1968 to August 31, 2019? That's how long I have supported this school's football program with my presence and treasure (modest as it has been at times) and therefore, that is how I figure I have "earned" it.
This answers my earlier question.

The one thing I find curious about situations like this is the idea of financial support given the circumstances. Kudos for being able to do for 50 years.

It is interesting that you continued to send money all the way up to now without ceasing. This circus has covered over 20% of the time you have been financially invested.

I guess everyone has a breaking point.
