I think Georgia has the most elitist fans outside of Vandy. I always had the worst experiences with their fans when I was at UT. I could sit at a table and drink beer with LSU fans and Florida fans, but definitely not with Georgia fans.

Was stationed at Ft. Gordon,Ga. in 1973 and 74 and thumbed home to Tennessee when on pass or leave.Got a real taste for how ignorant them dawg fans are back then.Had a few scary moments riding in the back of a cadillac convertible once filled with drunk Georgia fans headed to a Kentucky game.Good thing I had my dress uniform on and some stories about Viet Nam is the only thing that saved me...

Tell Him you will put 100$ in the offering plate on Sunday. That's what I did for the LSU game at halftime in 2006....and yes, I followed through. Should of made it 200 for a good season but that day I learned the good Lord takes bribes.

We got screwed by the refs and lost at the end of that game in 2006, so apparently your bribe only pissed him off.

I'm gonna assume you meant to put 2005.

I have been to every stadium in the SEC except Starkville (oh, add Mizzou and A&M to that list now), and will say Georgia fans are the nastiest, rudest, crudest, vial fans I have ever encountered, including Alabama, and those guys aren't too far behind. But one great thing about that, UT has managed to pull out more unexpected victories against Georgia than probably any other team, and it is so sweet EVERY time! Because of that, I remain optimistic we can do it this year. Today reminds me of several past matchups vs Georgia where we seemingly had no chance coming into the game. If Missouri can move the ball against Georgia, we can too.

The vols match up well talent wise. Not to sound cliche, we just need to play 4 quarters of football.

Our defense matches up better against their running game, if we keep them in between the tackles we can really put the breaks on them.

Fellow Vol fans, I attended college in Georgia for 7 years in the 90s. UGA never beat UTK during that time. I've got plenty of lifelong friends who are diehard Dawg fans who hated the fact that they never beat us while I was in school with them. A decade ago, I could expect a dozen or more phone calls from these people following a UGA win over the Vols. This year, like the past few, I probably will not hear from any of them. They think of us about the same way that UF fans think about us now and the same way everyone thinks about VU and KY. More pity than anything else. We'll have to start beating these teams regularly before its a rivalry again.
