UGA fan says we are going to get killed this year

Back to the original point of this thread; Fulmer owns Richt now (Oooooo.......that will stick in the Dawgs craw!). Their defense should be good, but so should ours. If Tennessee gets good QB play this year then we should beat them relatively easy.

Georgia will still have major problems out of their recieving corps. The have absolutely no-one that scares me. If the Bryant kid can come in and do well then they will possibly have one there, but he will be a freshman. Against our secondary this will spell doom for the Dawgs as they will have to rely on the running game alone. JMO

Couldn't agree more...

People talk about UGA being good next year because of Stafford and Moreno...I've got news for them...if you don't have decent receivers or a decent O-line then that won't matter...

With the secondary we return UGA will be forced to try to beat us with the run...that will spell doom for them

How the folks in the mountains of northern Georgia escaped being including in that definition is true irony.

LOL. Agreed and I live in north Georgia. Apparently the other posters have not seen me post and have no sense of humor what so ever.

Please tell me how Fulmer owns Richt??? Can you tell me how we had major problems last year at WR? What Bryant kid are you talking about? I think you mean A.J. Green who could have an impact as a freshman but I wouldn't bet on it. By the way what QB and WR threats are you going to have this year that will cause opposing DC's to quake in their boots? :whistling:

I will be waiting on your insight for it is apparent that you are well above and beyond the rest of the pack.

Shouldnt the same be said for your team. Should be a great defensive battle next year.

Had Tennessee not demolished UGA's run game, then yes the same could be said.

Right now, the UGA - UT game looks to be the second best game on UT's schedule.

Is a new QB the answer to Tennessee's deep ball woes? Or was it the WRs aren't very good?

Can UT find replacements for the defensive losses?

Can UGA figure out how to hold Arian Foster to under 3 TDs a game against them?

Does Stafford mature and make better decisions or is he the next Ryan Leaf?

Can UGA beat UT between the hedges at Sanford?

Does UGA have anyone to compiment Knowshon Moreno?

These are all questions that will not be answered until fall rolls around.

Right now, Tennessee owns a 2 game streak over UGA.

Wow great definition. So we are talking about people living here hundreds of years ago...good one. Don't even act like GA doesn't have as many redneck hillbilies as TN. Plus you have your dirty #$% thug communities all over the place. That must really suck for you guys.

Wow apparently you are taking things a little personal. But your right we do have redneck hillbilies and urban areas of lowerclass income levels, but so does TN. Memphis, Chattanooga, etc. this cant be helped and could be considered in low taste to bring up someones economic status in a debate. Also it is not uncommon for people of the Southern states to be proud of their "hillbilly" heritage and is actually celebrated in many place. My point in bringing it up earlier was mearly in response to another posters jab at GA's current drought situation. Take it easy its only a message board.

Great post. Man I love football and I cant wait till spring practice.

Yeah...I suppose you're right...BUT...IMO...

UT O-line>>>>>UGA O-line...

If its going to be a run-the-ball, play-defense kind of game then this will favor us because of the above reason...

Please explaine how your line is better?

Let's see....

We return everyone....count em'....everyone on a line that paved the way for an 1100 yard rusher while at the same time only giving up 4 sacks...

I'm not saying UGA's line sucks by any means....but its hard to top that

Your are right cant argue with that. We return 3 starters and are replacing our two seniors with more talented players but with less experience. They paved the way for a 1200 yard rusher :)

No love for Eric Young?

While Scott filled in just fine, Young started more games at LT than anybody on the roster this season and he's gone

And Arian had 1193 yards, just round up for 1200 for bragging rights

I was wrong aswell Moreno has 1334 yrds.

UGA---simply unbeatable. Opponents--don't even belong on the same field as this team with these 2 offensive superstars.

and don't forget their coach who has just embarrassed Fulmer for 2 straight years

The more this goes on the more I realize what a good matchup UT/UGA is going to be...

We're bringing in basically the same team to play each other...

I expect a good game that could go either way...but I do think (and I say this with my orange goggles off) that its foolish for UGA fans to think you're going to blow us out...

You won't outman us...I can't believe I'm saying this but you won't outcoach us...It's going to be a good, hard-nosed game that either team is just as likely to win...

Any UGA fan that really believes you're going to destroy us is just buying into the media hype

Fadeproof has said time and time again that UGA-UT will be a close game.

Yeah, it must have been Green that I was thinking of.

Lets see..........Massaquoi(sp) has underacheived and he is probably your best receiver. Big play threats and reliability are sorely lacking in the UGA receiving corps.

Tennessee had a 1000 yard receiver last year (Lucas Taylor) and he isn't even close to being the best we have from a talent standpoint. Gerald Jones, Ahmad Paige, and Denarious Moore are all more talented and faster that Taylor. If these guys get on a roll; look out!

Of course alot of that depends on our QB play.

UGA should have a top 5 team this next year. That being said, UGA had better learn how to stop the run or Foster will run all over them again next year.
I have confidence in Chavis in stopping the run. I have ZERO confidence in Chavis stopping a mobile quarterback.
UTs linebackers should be extrememly solid along with the secondary.
D-line should improve but with little depth.

All-in-all. Should be a very close game.

Agree completely and I think alot of UT passing stats have alot to do with a very talented senior QB and Cutt's scheme. Now think back to Ainge's sophmore season and that is what UGA had to deal with this year. While everyone is saying that Stafford is ignorant or slow he was still only a sophmore and is bound to make bad decisions. However to give you an idea of how smart and devoted he is CMR stated that they have trusted Stafford to make checks that they did not allow Greene or Shockley to make as seniors. To me that says that he is progressing in the right direction. Also look out for our change of pace at QB this year Logan Gray.

Many would say the same thing happened to UT after the third Saturday in October.
Georgia finally beating florida gave them momentum. They really didn't have another tough out except a mediocre auburn team at the end the year. This is not the stuff champions are made of. Don't believe the hype. As far as georgia fans running their mouths saying they're going to kill us. They just can't stand the fact they've been our whipping boy for the last two years.
