That had to be by design, but for the life of me I can't figure out why he didn't get a few more carries in the first half.

Tire the defense and keep him as fresh as possible. It was smart what richt did knowing the depth at that position .

yep that was by design.. that was the game plan.. they gave gurley a few drives and they gave sony michel, nick chubb, and keith marshall a number of carries as well. the goal was to tire out that clemson defense by hammering them with fresh backs and it worked great. i would have liked a few more carries for gurley in the 1st half, but he was as we saw very fresh for the 2nd half and did a lot of damage. i was at the game and it was soo dang hot and humid there that was a smart way to handle the carries. we need to get our 2 best wideouts back so we have a more vertical passing game to go along with our running game.

It kills me to say it but if they can stay healthy this year, Georgia will probably win the SEC and Gurley has a good shot at the Heisman...
