I think it was a Jacksonville newspaper reporter who suggested he was a/the leading candidate, immediately after the Evans fiasco broke and it was obvious that Damon was history. So, no great surprize.

Really sad to see him leave UF, but I read he is a UGA alum so this is probably his dream job. Wish him nothing but the best.

yea mcgarity was good for UF and he will be missed, but boy it's going to be tough on him getting owned by UF year after year and i know the ppl at uga will want mcgarity to get that game the HELL out of jacksonville.
