UF's Brandon James

In 3 seasons and 2 games, James has 111 punt return attempts. He has returned only 4 for TD. 2 of those were against the sisters of the poor, and 2 were against TN. He has not returned a punt for a TD against another SEC team or top 25 team. He is only averaging 10.3 yards per punt return also. This season, he has 9 returns for 18 yards.

Sorry, but with the new regime, I am kicking him the ball.

You realize those stats work against the Vols, not for them.

That said, I wouldn't be shocked at all if you guys kick to him all day.

You realize we don't have the same garbage people running our garbage special teams coverages though, right? Auburn always seemed to have solid ST.

please please please kick it to him. I love watching him continually return punts for touchdowns against you guys.

Seriously though, I agree with you that you have a new group of inspiring coaches and expect a higher level of play. But it is the kick it to him without fear type of mentality that will make this get ugly. He has your number in the return game and that can't be argued. I am not saying fear him, but respect him. Be smart. The game is a long game but you win or lose with field position and defense. Defense is CLEARLY the strength of your team so don't be foolhearted and kick it to him and give us a short filed.

I think we win this game, mainly because of your inept offense. If we get easy scores in the return games or have short fields to work with will make it harder for you guys. If we get scores in the return game and get an extended lead you have to pass to catch up and I think you all know what could happen there. Good luck. I am looking forward to a great game and a renewed rivalry!

I think that we will only win this game with a turn over margin. Yeah I know that is gonna be hard. But I don't think we kick out OB because CLK knows that we can get a good turnover off of punts. He is confident in our special teams and knows the importance it will play in this game and will tell Eric Berry that the heisman will be won for him in this game and that if hits James like he did Knowshow we will get the turn over cause there is no way he will hold on to the ball. Oh yeah and when he drops it and Berry takes it in for 6 well...........we migh just only be down 7 points. LOL I still say kick it to him. Why else do we have our starters playing special teams. Go VOLS! Let pull of the upset!

He has returned one on us the last three years, why would this be a good idea? New ST coach or not this cat can return kicks. Remember 2007 how they got their first points? If we go 3 and out opening drive and kick it to him and he takes it to the house you might as well watch another game b/c this one is over....I wish I was more optimistic right now but let your defense make their offense earn every first down they get. don't give them a free be like a punt return...

The best part of your team, including special teams, is defense, correct?

Answer is obvious.

My suggestion is to punt it out of bounds at the 1 every time. brilliant, i say. however, i have one other plan...let UF have the ball first, even knowing they'r'e probably gonna score....but halfway thru the drive, have them call a play for James to take the quick draw, only to have him run straight into ERIC BERRY, who happens to introduce him to the ground, and his feelings are hurt so bad, he gets a bad cramp. One that keeps him out of the game....plus, he gets lonely on the bench, and asks Tebow to sit on the bench beside him. Better yet, tell him the game is at 8:00pm--PRIMETIME BABY!!

If UF wins the toss, I'd bet the house they defer.

i think we can actually kick to him this year...with berry and the young speedsters out there we actually stand a good chance at holding him

The odds are just as great (if not greater) for UF getting called for a block in the back as they are for James taking it to the house.

Again, I think Kiffin will take the no fear route and test his ST unit to cover the kick.

Off topic, but BJ is my favorite UF player. Gotta have love for the 5'6" players, makes me wish I woulda tried it out.

Many UF fans were scratching their heads when we signed him in '06. He was thought by many to be a package deal with his much more heralded HS teammate Jacques Rickerson, who was kicked off the team last year and never really made much of an impact when he did play for us.

Recruiting is an art sometimes, not a science.

Did UCLA even make it past the 20 once on kickoffs saturday? Our punt coverage wasn't the greatest due to some arm tackling - but kickoff coverage was stellar.

Sorry to disappoint Brandon James - but Fulmer and Co. are not coaching our special teams anymore contrary to popular belief.

You go on believing having Kiffin will make a difference.

Kick to him either for punts or kickoffs at your own risk.

Not having Fulmer anymore will soon be a negative. You'll see.
