UF's Brandon James

We haven't been able to do that in a generation.

Cunningham actually did have a couple of TBs against WKU. He didn't get nearly as many chances against UCLA (for obvious reasons).

And most NFL kickers don't kick it in the end zone EVERY time. With college kickoffs moved back to NFL distance, don't expect any college kicker to do it either.

why dont we just punt it on first down right when we get it were not gonna move the ball on them anyway.JMO

You know, if we punt on 3rd down, he probably won't be back there...
I've decided that this is the best option. Not only that, but if we decide to fake the punt and don't make it, we can try it again!

James is one of, if not the best in the country at returning kicks. Our coverage teams are not the joke they used to be. Last year, you go for it, or kick it out of bounds, this year you challenge your STs to cover the frickin kick.

Of course, you have to make to 4th down to kick it.
We are struggling with that right now.

Talk about James all you want. I just pray tebow dosen't get his jaw broke. How would he kiss on the other players if that happened.

i have a strategy. we take the opening kickoff run the ball. then while the clock is running, just keep taking delay of games. when the ref puts the ball down the clock starts again. the ball will keep being moved back 5 yards until it gets within the 10 yard line an then half the distance to the goal line. and then the ball can not be movbed into the endzone. this would shorten the game a bit...im being stupid by the way.

Great posts guys. ;)

Personally I think Kiffin kicks to Brandon once at the very least to see how his ST unit responds.

And he should. Some of the fan base is worried about getting run out before the first quarter is over. Who freakin cares. Let it all hang out boys, if UF is 50 pts. better so be it. They got it to do.

We got to set a tone for the future. Cover the freakin kicks.

I agree with you.

You have to create a mindset that you can play with anyone, anywhere.

It's mystifying to me that throughout James' college career has four PR's for a TD. Two of them against us. (Would be 3 except for a phantom block in the back that called one back)

I just don't think you can take the chance with our teams fragile psyche and lack of leadership on offense. Crompy would be like' "Here we go again.". Then he would have to change his pants before the next possesion.

which was a horrible call. there wasn't an illegal block. but the refs made up for it with the roughing the QB call on our INT for TD

There were several questionable calls in that game.

I thought there was an illegal block on the James punt return, but it was nowhere near the play.

The roughing the passer call on Leak was very questionable, as was the no call on Ainge intentionally grounding the ball in the south end zone.

I think he's had at least that many called back for penalties.

In 3 seasons and 2 games, James has 111 punt return attempts. He has returned only 4 for TD. 2 of those were against the sisters of the poor, and 2 were against TN. He has not returned a punt for a TD against another SEC team or top 25 team. He is only averaging 10.3 yards per punt return also. This season, he has 9 returns for 18 yards.

Sorry, but with the new regime, I am kicking him the ball.
