I liked seeing Francis, i enjoyed the Perry/Diaz fight
Francis is a physical specimen -- too big and too strong. His opponent looked completely out of his league.

Perry is vicious. He's nasty with the knees and elbows. Made Diaz look like a bum.

Yeah,it was quite a few mismatches. While i was glad to see Ngannou(sp) fight again,he was fighting a literal Light Heavyweight. Seeing JDS fighting still and taking a brutal ko was not what I wanted to see.

Diaz was no match for Perry. "Ronda by Armbar" strikes again in 10 seconds against a woman who hasn't fought in nearly 20 years.

At least she got motivated by losing weight. The fight was already decided. Hopefully, they have better fights if they have another card. It was fun for what it was however.

Yeah that’s 3 hours not well spent but at least didn’t cost $.
Funniest thing to me is Rhonda to the crowd, “we will fight for you” and then saying she’s never fighting again lol.
Diaz looked like someone picked off the street. May be the most overhyped fighter in MMA history.

I think "MVP" or whatever it's called would be taken more seriously without Jake Paul. He's a clown show.

Diaz is tough and I think he's a hilarious interview -- I was pulling for the guy. But he looked really bad tonight. I'm not sure he could beat Perry if they fought 100 times.

I don’t watch a lot of MMA anymore but since it was free, I watched Diaz. First, I was shocked this guy is still fighting. Second, I was amazed how bad he looked.

The guy he fought was a 205er with no weight cut. He should fight that 6'7 karate guy. Jones would easily beat him IMO.

This was a bad showing across the board. All were mismatches and fighters over 40 it seems. The only good fight was in the prelims. I doubt we see another event from these guys. I mean who enjoyed JDS getting KOd for the 8th time.

He's been fighting for 23 years, and he's never been a guy who avoided damage. Nobody should be surprised by this outcome.

Sounds like Chimaev is moving up. I hate that so much of the sport is weight cutting. Cool that Chimaev can show up huge on fight day (or miss weight, or cheat the weigh-in 2x) and **** up Bobby Knuckles, but I'd much rather have him fight guys his size.

The idea of day of weigh ins 12 ish hours before the fights must be implemented by all state athletic commissions. This would clean up nearly every combat sport. Whether you like Colby Covington or not he walks around between 175-185 all the time. It was no different for Frankie Edgar as 155 champ he walked around at 160 ish but had to fight guys like Gray Maynard who would be 190+ on fight night it's complete horse 💩

I was disappointed by every single fight.

Outside of Rhonda and Gina I disagree. The fighters on the main card had name value. For MVP they don't have a luxury of a long list of top talent because the UFC has dominated that space for many years. For a first card a C. Maybe C+. What will be telling is if more of these promotions are put together. If Diaz fights again that tells me that people with names have other options than just UFC. MMA was better before the UFC bought strike force and it would have been even better if the UFC wasn't the absolute only way fighters made big $$$.

Show of hands. ... Who didn't have Rhonda by arm bar in under 15 seconds on their bingo cards?

John Jones ducked Francis for 3 years and ran like a school girl from Aspinall so get out of here with that nonsense

I heard some pretty good commentary on Chimaev moving up in weight. The guy was saying that Chimaev gets by on almost pure physical ability. He doesn't set up takedowns well. He starts them from far away, and just overwhelms middleweights with his size and strength, and he doesn't have the skill of a Khabib who rests when he is on top and tires out the opponent. Chimaev gets tired while he's on top, because he doesn't know how to operate efficiently. I couldn't put all that together in an explanation, but it is more or less how I see him as a fighter.
