he hasn't won anything. this game today will be his best win against a team with a horrid offense and team that consistently under performs.
I remember quite a few on here calling Dan Mullen “mehlen” and saying he wasn’t a good coach. Meanwhile, our guy has losses to Georgia state and has been beat like a drum by vandy and Kentucky, has more losses over 20 than butch or Dooley and he’s in year 3. Wonder what “mehlen” is gonna do to the beldar led vols this year![]()
CJP's major flaw so far has been not pulling every string possible to get either a transfer in to replace JG or giving the keys to the offense to either of the backups. Had CJP had any foresight in this matter he would have begun this process last year or even before. It's funny how before the start of every season Mullen gets dogged on this forum and then he goes and wins. We missed getting back to relevance much sooner when we didn't hire that guy. Look at how he brings in what he needs from the transfer portal. Does anyone think he wouldn't bring in a transfer to replace JG if he couldn't coach him or the others up? I'm all in on Pruitt for another couple of years but can't help think what could have been.
Sorry but I can’t remember. Someone please remind me. He was set to be UTs coach and then no. What the h—- happened?
Mullen started out from scratch just like Pruitt. He was allowed the time to turn into what he is today.I remember quite a few on here calling Dan Mullen “mehlen” and saying he wasn’t a good coach. I agree with that. Mullen is one of the most respected coaches out there among coaching circles, fwiw so is Pruitt.True but I don't really see where this thread as a "fire Pruitt" type discussion. More of a "what could have been a lot sooner". I'm all in on Pruitt and think he will get us there in a couple of years. It's just tiresome to see all the wrong predictions here about Mullen. Time for some on here to quit saying he's no good cause the evidence doesn't support that.
