Saying Tee Martin isn't a VFL for coming here for a coaching gig is dumb. The man and his family loved it out in Los Angeles. His wife is a singer and was able to get in the show biz out there. We can't always bring in former players as coaches. They have to do what's best for them.

It's documented the USC paid him about $175k MORE than we were offering for a non-coordinator position. I'm sure you would take $175k cut in pay......geesh:banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:

Exactly. People need to look at this as any other job. It's nothing personal, he was just making more money elsewhere. I don't blame him at all. It's just like when someone's favorite player leaves one pro team for another, the fans get all pissed off but they don't think of it in terms of, he is leaving one job for another to make more money, they see it as a personal slight against them.

Also, 175k is likely less than the median home price from LA to Knoxville.

A 500k salary in LA equates to ~330k in Knoxville.

Best for him and his family? Did his son live in Knoxville?I would never move that far away from my child if I had chance to live close to them. Money is not every thing to me especially when you figure cost of living higher there and family. I know what's first on my list. Not judging but that's what I would have done.

Tee called Jalen Hurd "SOFT AND TERRIBLE"

He was my favorite VOL for years until he made that comment and openly shunned us by staying with Lane Kiffin out in Cali.

If you don't understand this logic, you don't understand football fandom in general.
