Good guy, and good recruiter. Not sure UT's style fits his skills the best.
But, I know he likes it here and is excited about Hurd and Kamara, among others.

Didn't see this posted anywhere, just heard from a guy I trust. I knew he played college down there, not sure if he'd leave right now, wouldn't make sense. Just passing it along.
Does the guy you trust generally have inside info about the goings on at Florida? If so it may be legit. If not, who knows?

The only guy I would hate to lose would be Ford who has a special relationship with CRG and I know Florida would love to have this guy a la Michael Taylor

Gillespie appears to be a hired gun. I looked up his bio and he rarely stays anywhere over 2 years. But, that's the name of the game when your an asst coach. So even if he don't leave this year, he will probably be gone next. I'd like him to stay, but won't lose much sleep over it if he leaves.

I hope CG stays but if the gators made an offer and he accepted, I wouldn't be that mad. We just need to keep Coach Thig locked down here.

That ain't gonna happen. If that man doesn't get promoted somehow, then some other team will. He knows more than linebackers. Wouldn't be surprised if a few times might poach him to be their recruiting coordinator/defensive coordinator. It could happen.

its his school and one of the best schools/recruiting grounds in the country why wouldnt it make sense

Seeing as though he has a very nice haul at RB now, and we're on the brink of breaking into great things again instead starting all over. To me, doesn't make sense but I see your point as well.

Can't blame him if he goes but if he does I'm sure we will see posts about CG wasn't that good and can't recruit. It's just the VN way.

I am glad that Butch hired some pretty good asst but I hope he hires good replacements, something Fooley failed to do.
Weay be glad some of these are "Butch's guys" or it will feel like Fooley who seemed to keep losing his.
Either way two years and this is our first worry is pretty good. We shouldn't have tl worry about big issues until next year if there's a big success.

Please please please pay the man! I really like CRG and I think he really likes it here. I just don't want money to be the thing that causes us to loose him. If he wants to go because it was his alma mater then fine I wouldn't hold it against him, but not cause of money. It's time we stop being cheap and pay our coaches to stick around.
