I asked the chatbot what the average height of NFL centers.
6'2" - 6'4"
Mays is 6'2" officially. I doubt that height.
Centers used to be shorter.

To be honest, I'm a bit surprised nobody has picked Cooper up

He's a bit shorter than prototype, but all the dude has done is excel against top flight competition. Not exactly like our schedule is filled with local orphanages.

Your football team will go absolutely nowhere without a stout O line

I'm not in Seattle but I'm clueless

Sigh. Apparently today brings yet another reminder that I am getting old lol.

LSU apparently had a safety named Major Burns (who was signed as an USDA)-a character from MASH had the same name. Major Frank Burns to be exact. The actor (Larry Linville) wanted off the show after 4-5 years and never really landed many roles after that.

I thought they'd be drafted in 6-7 rounds. Probably best as UDFA.
They are both minuses athletically at the NFL level, and both are older guys. Bru didn’t have much production here after Hooker left and had a major injury. Cooper carries a lot of bad weight on a short frame even with 5 years in the program and also has issues with injuries. Neither was on anyone other than Vol fans’ radars for being anything more than UDFAs unfortunately.

Bru never fully recovered from that awful injury in against SCAR.

He had a lot of starts. I don't remember him being hurt the last 3 seasons.
He was out at a couple of games 2 years ago. Remember how bad the backup center was? He was out for a few of Hooker’s first season. I don’t know about Hooker’s second season, but pretty sure last year was the first year he was “healthy” all season. And to give credit, our team was completely different with him as a starter.

Thanks for reminding me of that., Stolitonic! I too am getting pretty old and remember the show. I forgot his name was Major Burns but I know who you are referencing now and I remember Hot Lips. For some reason it always makes me a little sad when I hear the theme music from M.A.S.H.

FYI the name of the song is literally Suicide Is Painless.

Considering that, I would not expect it to be an upbeat tune ha ha

In the show they just used the instrumental. In the original movie they use the lyrics. A haunting melody honestly.

The education continues! I can see why they didn't opt for the lyrics in the show.

As an angst-filled teenage girl in the 1980s, I used to sit outside and play this song on my flute. Oh the melancholy. Oh the cringe! LOL

Oh yeah lol. Bonus points if you were wearing your full band uniform while doing so ha ha

Honestly, the show went off the air when I was in roughly pre-school but by the late 80s they were showing two hour blocks pretty consistently on cable in the afternoons. Used to do my homework while watching MASH all through middle and high school ha ha

The league loves hardworking guys who are smart and have ability who will only command league minimum.

Practice squad at first. Definitely will have the ability to move up on a roster at any point during a season.
Yes, that's all true. That's why I said he must be willing to make himself invaluable on special teams
