Yep. Honestly, the anti-nico rhetoric was alluring initially, but it's not as gratifying anymore and we're only 3 games in. When I watched the kid walk out of that stadium after the Utah game I think it was, I kinda started feeling sorry for him. Then I thought about his brother. No one considers what this has done to him and his potential career. I'm sure he'd like to play and cut his own path, but he was ripped away from Arky and inserted into this same mess with Nico. And as long as Nico is in college, I suspect baby brother will be right there watching the golden boy play while he sits and waits as his college career evaporates. Can't imagine what's going thru his mind always being second fiddle to Nico. What a messed up situation. Starting to this it's actually more tragic than messed up.
His brother should’ve stayed at Ark but Big Nick had to mess that up also
You don’t want your brother playing right behind you on the same team and position at this level.
Now will UCLA start Madden this season?
Imagine the family dynamics if Nico gets benched, Madden starts and they win out haha, won’t happen because UCLA is just that bad but a what if…

I find it mind blowing how this guy was an "elite" 5 star coming out of HS and also being one of the highest rated all time for UT recruiting by that 247 crap. I know there are going to be misses, but how is there misses this bad? Why would anyone taking any of these recruiting sites seriously? How do these sites make it if so poorly evaluated
Sometimes your can’t miss, misses.

I wonder if Nico's performance last year compared to this year makes an impression on Tennessee recruits, especially QB recruits. I doubt Heupel mentions this to angle recruits, though, because I believe he too classy a guy.

He has to go back to Columbus in November. Only he won’t have 40 blue chip teammates going with him this time. The only thing that will decide how badly they get beaten up there is how much mercy Ryan Day decides to show them.

“I got that guy into the playoff, then he left us and went winless with his new team. You’re 10x the talent he is. We could win the whole thing with you.”

Nico doesn’t really care what people think. He’s already made more money than half of us on here. He doesn’t even need to go pro. He’ll have plenty of money.
No. His family has spent it. He and his brother are supporting his entire family. Neither his mother or father have jobs.

Not sure what that family saw going to that school.
Chip Kelley depleted the roster before he left and the Big Ten schedule still looms ahead...this is not gonna be pretty.
I think it was a fall back option. My guess is hedidn't get any other offers. Any D1 coach should be able to see that he can’t process information well enough to succeed at QB. No idea how Heupel was able to make the playoffs with him at QB.

I think him just up and leaving one day before the orange and white game absolutely destroyed his stock with other coaches.

Speaking of bad teams, Kansas State was ranked 17th preseason and they are 1-3 with the lone win against North Dakota... with the go ahead score in the final 40 seconds.
What’s ironic is that a portion of our fans wanted to drop a bag on the K State QB after Nico left.

I miss the stability of the Joe Milton IIi era.

I think this is absolutely hilarious. Don't forget what he did to this program and what a disaster situation it could've been. 5 star? Makes me question every player analysis these "experts" do. How the hell was Nico ever a 5 star? Do they even watch these kids play? Or just look at the measurable? "He's kinda fast and I saw him throw a good pass once. I give him 5 stars." He's not even a good leader. I am LOVING this. Getting blown out at home by a team they were double digit (and then some) favorites? We are so lucky he's a greedy, disloyal schlep or we'd be stuck w his underachieving azz for at least this year. He's getting what he deserves. He doesn't deserve the money, but all the disrespect and laughter he 100 % deserves.

Its not even that. It is just realignment in general that made UCLA and even USC undesirable. That travel schedule is not friendly. Oregon is the one exemption, but its because they can afford to make accommodations with the travel schedule due to Nike / Phil Knight bankrolling the AD.

UCLA flying all coach with Allegiant lol

So many UCLA threads, lol. Bump.

They're gonna win maybe 5 games? They better be ready for UNLV and New Mexico. There is a chance this goes really badly. I only see 1 guaranteed win on their schedule. Could they go 2-10 or 3-9?

Looking more like 1-11 at this point. Gotta beat Northwestern at least, right?
