Every team and recruiting service was wrong. Nico was supposed to be the next big thing according to everyone. Hard to look into somebody’s heart though and see if they really have IT. And I don’t think anyone gave enough consideration to how much of a meddler Dad was going to be.

Knoxville (and this board) adopted that family. Strong father who loved his family. Mom bravely combatting breast cancer. All invested and no stories behind the scenes (unlike Boo’s mom). Up until it went down, I would’ve bet he made a jump and have a decision to make after the season. Well played racket until it wasn’t.

This season at UCLA is going to be fascinating to watch. If UCLA goes winless, surely they have to make a coaching change if not also the AD and anyone else who's fingerprints are on bringing Foster & Nico in. If they only win a game or two, does UCLA still fire Foster? Does Nico leave for another program regardless? If he does, are he and his brother still a package deal? Does Nico just bail and declare for the NFL even if he's a 4th round or later pick?

This year would be an awesome Netflix show. One LA sportswriter has called them the Bad News Bruins which would be a great show title
