Hey i know it may be early but what are yalls predictions? I think it will be a close game up till the 3rd with UT pulling away and winning by around 14. It's important to note that UCLA's top 2 qbs are currently injured (although 1 may return for this game... idk). I also think that the Cal team we played the last 2 years was far superior to this UCLA team we will face. On the other hand, UT has not been very successful in the state of California (somewhere around 2-9) and we are playing with an unproven qb. Although I see greatness in this upcoming team and QB, i am sure i am a little biased :)

im going for a 38 to 10 victory ucla doesnt have wat it takes to hang with the big boys... this will be a statement game for us

42-17 UT I think it will look good at first for crompton because we are just going through the motions. Clawson keeps it simple but we just cant help but making big plays. Score goes up and we make a statement. Doubters beware.
Rico has a beast of a game and Goon squad will be really solid. Someone descent on defense last year steps up and gets some keys sacks for us as well. Vols come alive for the openers

We will start out slow but finish in a big way. Foster will have a monster game with 2 TDs and around 130 yrds. Crompton completes 14 of 21 for 2 TDs; one to Jones and one to Moore. Defense records 3 sacks and 2 ints. Martin and Bolden play one hell of a game and our defense holds UCLA to 10 points and under 200yrds. Rogan has a big punt return for a TD and we win 35-10.

Vols by at least 17. I think we will keep it close to the vest, but our running game will be solid and we will be able to stretch the field. Add a couple big plays on defense and we're rolling. I can't wait.

i would think the same thing but Steele has UCLA as his 21st ranked team this year. Is it just me or does the Phil Steele formula factor in a heavy bias against us every year?

We've started with the surfers before. It's a perfect game to start with. First games can be dangerous when matched with a team close in strength. But Cal was a much better team and looking for revenge last year and UCLA just isn't in the same league. By the third quarter, we'll be rolling when the difference in depth and weight room discipline will begin to show. :dance2:

Maybe 28-14 or 35-14.

Crompton: 15-26, 201 yds, 2 TD
Foster: 22 carries, 125 yds, 1 TD

Berry also has an interception return for a touchdown, and UCLA's QB(s) throws for a grand total of 81 yards.

I wouldn't call that a monster game. It is a very solid game and good stats but not a monster game. Darren McFadden's game last year against South Carolina was a monster game.

Vols run for over 250 on the ground. Close game in the first half--Vols walkaway to close the game.

what the heck howd we get a safety? If you got the testiculars to say we get a safety then have them to explain or say you hit the wrong key and i will say ''oh'' lol. that flipped me out saying 2. cmon man we get a safety on the opening game all of volnation will have a heart attack

They block our extra point and return it for a 2-point conversion to bring the score to 6-2. But it just makes Phil mad. The rest is history.
