This loss squarely falls on the OL. It is pathetic this year and last and before that. Crompton surely is suspect but give the kid a break. He had absolutely NO time. The routes the receivers were running were bad. This walk on center has a long way to go and Josh McClendon simply ain't got it.
This is the most reasonable and well thought out explanations of the game I have seen so far.
No doubt Crompton is bad, but he had no time, and when he did the WRs couldn't run the right routes; Jones shouldn't have even been playing, he couldn't even jump nor is he full speed. That is very questionable call on the coaches. I know the WR position is thin, but how you put a guy who can't physically make an athletic play on the field is beyond me.
