UCLA hires Caldwell as head coach - Los Angeles Times

Nikki Caldwell, a Tennessee assistant women's basketball coach who helped guide the Lady Vols to their second consecutive national championship last week, has been hired as head coach at UCLA, it was announced today.

This is great opportunity for Nikki. That Bruins squad is young, and based on what I saw last year, they had some big teams on the ropes, but didn't know how to close games out. Caldwell will get that fixed.

You gotta think she was making $120k-ish in Knoxville. Not sure how far $300k will go in L.A.

Bill Walsh is the only coach I can think of with anything close to that.
