I hear there is a Marriot within walking distance with a pretty nice sports bar. Might try and hit that for some of the games this weekend (if I am done being dragged around sightseeing). :good!:

Definitely. A few years ago I know parking was $20 for a long walk to Neyland (been parking in the Ag lot the last few years).

alright Vol Nationals, I'm westwardbound in the morning and would like to try to narrow down/organize the tailgate a little.

the consensus in Lot H... Otis, Patti... where are y'all gonna be?

Gcrop, MontereyVol, UTIE, NaniD, VolzRchamps (and everyone else)... which of y'all are driving in and setting up? do you have VN mobile access? we're going to grab some food at the BOTT then grab the cooler and start wandering around looking for orange brethren. If you've got access to VN, try to post your general vicinity. I might try to pick up some name tags and put my vn moniker on it..???

my wife and I look remarkably similar to these two, if you see us give us a shout!

I'll be in Lot H over near the Fanzone area....in front of where the UCLA almuni band plays.

My original plan was to walk from the Hilton, but it looks like that ain't gonna happen based on the number of bars on the route. So I'll drive over with a cooler loaded down, park in Lot H, and roam around.

I have a moto Q and VN mobile is very querky on it for some reason. But I'll get on it and post if possible.

No VN mobile here. We plan on arriving in Lot H around 10am with a cooler. Walk around, take pics, take in the scenery and then head over to a friend's tailgate in Lot 1/1A. Then head over to the BOT around 2ish until gametime.

Ayers Inn. That is where to stay IF YOU ARE WANTING TO SPEND LESS THAN $150 PER NIGHT. I was surprised to see my and my partners room room, AND EVERY AFTERNOON complimetary booze from 5 to 7. The rooms were UNBELIEVABLE. THEY OWN SEVERAL OTHERS AROUND THE AREA, too. Sorry about the caps, but I'm too tired to fix it. I literally just pulled in from the Nashville airport. The Ayers group of Hotels is a GREAT value. look for 'em if you are not booked in so. Ca
Heck, the one I stayed at was only 10 miles from the game

We are going to be at the Marriott and then walk over to lot H. We are dragging coolers around this time. Hopefully we can all meet up.

I'm thinking of making a last minute trip to this game. I'm so confused on where I should stay.

I'm thinking of flying into LAX, public transporting to Pasadena, and staying at the Pasadena Inn. Is that a good idea?

I have never stayed at the Pasadena Inn, but I'm sure it's fine if all you need is a place to sleep.

I do have to question why you want to take public transportation. It's not that it can't be done. But they don't make it easy in LA. You can get from point A to point B. But the logistics of everything can be a bit time consuming.

Why don't you just rent a car? It'll make everything MUCH easier. I just looked...for a 2 day rental through Enterprise Sunday noon to Tuesday noon is $53 all taxes included. That's nothing! Other companies may even be cheaper.

When you get a chance, let me know what kind of issues you are having on the Q. Maybe I can fix it.

i will. but so far so good. i was having a problem with it locking up my phone. but so far this trip it has been fine.

all right. it just happened again. when i open vn it says openning for about a minute then gives message that it is 'unable to place call'. when i restart my phone it runs fine. could be the sprint network, idk.

got word from NaniD (local alum) that there is a Vol party tonight at The Parlor (Santa Monica), apparently the owner is also an alum.

VolinAZ, you should come... (all the cool kids are doing it) you know you want to! :)

not making it to santa monica tonight fwiw, there's a party at the pasadena hilton bar tonight. not official, but i'll be having a few there. just finished my first fat tire ale one balboa island before heading out on a cruise.
