are real nice folks. While they have there handful of WE HATE YOU, WE HATE THEM, WE HATE THOSE ...

they're probably one of the nicer folks to chat with online and are seemingly classy folks.

I had conversation with two gentleman out here who were big time UCLA fans but after hearing Coach Kiffin and the USC connection migrating out in TENN land.. you'd expect them suddenly growl and spit doo-doo about TENN .. but they didn't.

Matter of fact, they were interested in the Tenn. culture and had spoken about wanting to visit and just look at the amazing sea of orange that they always see in the home football games.

For the most part (of what I know), they're nice folks.

My opinion on the game? -- Well see how good UCLA's offense will come out.... my prediction? Prince is gonna get injured... TENN defense is going to swarm ... but it might be a closer game than you think.

The fans do seem to be a class act, for the most part. It's a refreshing change from some of our usual foes. That said, I think we run away with the game more quickly than most are predicting.

Good to hear from you again.

We had a fan and member of the bruinzone.com fan site come by for a chat trying to stir the pot. They seemed decent enough. Invited us back to do battle on his board, while trying to rah rah his home boy's. Six hours later their we no post on that site in that thread. I found were there were only 47 people on the site and the most ever was at one time was 473.
Any way I suppose the point is, as the ancient Greeks used to ask when a man died "Did he live with passion". I'm just not getting that feeling. At least not compared to SEC and especially UT football.

The UCLA fans that I've encountered were (mostly) great. We made the trip last year and, again most, were very hospitable. They were much better than the Cal fans (we made that trip too the year before) we ran into. Cal fans either wouldn't acknowledge us, or would say crap about the SEC.

I got off the bus with my wife last year near a group tailgating, one of the guys shouted "wow, is that what a southern belle looks like?!" haha

We had a great time at the Rose Bowl...until the game started and we realized we left the offense back in Knoxville.

A bunch of UCLA fans stopped here in Nashville last night to watch the Titans game at some of the Bars...They were really nice folks...One guy even told me he cant wait to see Neyland Stadium...He said "I've heard it's amazing" I laughed and said its more then you can imagine....I told him when they run through the "T" it will be the loudest place he has ever been to in his life....He then said I hope we can give ya'll a good game...

I bought him a shot because he was not some annoying in your face type fan! I hope he enjoys his time in the promise land aka (KNOXVILLE) Go Vols!

Jimmy, don't expect a real warm welcome back @ the UCLA board after this crap!

Hahaha ... that's fine ... I'm trying not to be biased. I'm basing off observation from Tenn. performance last week and looking at how UCLA's formation is on the O ... if I'm wrong then I'm wrong....

bring the hatred ... it moves me. :p

They may be nice but they don't travel worth a damn. Only 1500 coming to the game, you got to be kidding me.

California may be more populated but we definitely have more fans that care about football. They can do us a favor and stay at home for this game for all I care. Tennessee is going to punch UCLA in the mouth anyways. After their loss, they won't care. The Dodger bandwagon has picked up now that they are winning and for those who don't like baseball, they can go back to drooling over Kobe Bryant. Whoopty.

UCLA Fans are pretty cool. Living out here, the feeling is more that SC fans are a bit more hardcore in terms of football fandom as of late (who can blame them), but at the same time, UCLA fans, having to go through what they have over the last few years, are still proud of their teams, and are decent folks.

In fact, I've probably had more issues with other SEC fans visiting the area (bammers) than anything from UCLA or USC fans (in fact, LA Fans are overall, hold pretty high esteem for SEC football)

I guess I'm the only UT fan that ran into a bad batch of them last year...When I saw this thread I thought it was a joke. We parked by the golf course last year and on our way in were confronted by Mexican Mafia of UCLA powder blue jersey's. To say the least, I thought there was a 15% chance of getting to the game and 25% chance of getting back to TN alive...Thankfully an older lady came over and scolded her fellow Bruins and all was well.

I saw a lot of them today around campus. I am surprised to hear that only 1500 are coming.

Same here. I just saw at least 10 on my lunch break. They seemed very nice, and a couple of them even spoke, unlike last year when we played UF and the gator fans would have something smart to say, or give you one of those dirty looks.

How come only 1500 are coming out here, puzzling?

I saw thousands and thousands last year. We have lots of tailgating pockets all around and adjacent to campus. The Bruins just park everyone in a huge field outside the Rose Bowl and throw down. It was a pretty cool pre-game atmosphere.
