There was a comment on UCLA's website stating that if they had our team/ with their coaching staff, THEY WOULD DESTROY USC! The last touchdown they scored, Norm Chow was laughin' before the snap. Our LB/SS was 7 yards off the TE(#42). He took two steps and turned around to catch the ball. That was a high school play!!!!
All our coaching staff did was make the SEC look weak!

and how do you know Chow was laughing before the snap? I saw the shot of him on TV celebrating after the snap but you must have been in the booth. That's cool!

Was this a comment on the main university athletic site or a comment on ucla message board? There's a big difference between the two

We take our bye week before we play UAB! All the other SEC team's, FL, GEORGIA, South Carolina, Kentucky have BYE weeks before they play us and ALABAMA has a cupcake game the week before. We will go 1-4 that month and go winless for a month. Did Pat Summitt have something to do with PF getting a new multi million $ Contract. THIS is BS!

I was laughing because it was predictable. 6 yard cushion in the endzone brought up bad memories from last year.

I was crying because it is sick.

Who cares what everyone else thinks? Doesn't change the fact that our play calling was horrible, and that doesn't involve everyone else, it involves us.

The whole nation laughed at us and are still laughing.

outside of the sec teams and the teams that were ranked below us, most of the nation doesnt care...in fact most of the nation probably doesnt care that much about college football either

We had about 30 bye weeks before UCLA and we all see where that got us.

I'm glad we are taking a bye week this week before the UAB game. We need all the time we can get to figure out how to play offense, defense, and special teams. I don't think there is enough time in the universe to get better at coaching, or at least for our coaches. I knew it would take a while for our offense to get on the same page but I thought we would look a little more crisp than we did. It is great to get rested before a big game but if you can't run your offense or defense then it doesn't really matter anyway.

They should be laughing our program has become a joke. 10 years and counting without a SEC title and it sure as hell wont happen this year. I guess we will just have to wait till next year of hoping to win a title.

Hey Tennfanatic, at times last night, our offense looked good like a couple of times in the first quarter. They just couldn't sustain a drive and put it together in consecutive plays. Crompton looked good sometimes and when he was pressured, he looked rattled. Hardesty seems to be the best back for us with speed, agility, and power. If our offense can figure out how to get on the same page, they can put some drives together and score some points. Our defense looked relentless early last night and I was convinced that if our offense didn't totally screw it up, that we would win with defense. Apparently, our depth up front contributed to a tired defense late in the game. Our boys looked tired in that fourth quarter and have to find some defensive tackles and ends to give backup support. My point is that if we find a way to get consistent on both sides of the ball, we may have an opportunity to be good. Our offensive play calling seemed questionable at times and it seemed like we were going away from our strengths until late in the fourth quarter when it was too late. If Clawson can figure out how to properly call a game and use his strengths instead of his weaknesses, our playmakers will get us down the field. On special teams, especially punt formations, we have to get back to the basics ans quit being cute with the spread out formation. Take away that punt block and Fosters fumble, make a couple of those fieldgoals, and we would have won by a couple of scores. This loss may be the best thing that could have happened for this team because it is not a conference loss and it will humble us and show us where we have to get better and what it's going to take to win in the SEC. I don't think it is the end of the world like most fans are making it out to be and we still have as good of a shot as any to win the SEC. I wasn't expecting a National Championship this year anyway so a shot at an SEC title is still in reach. We play better with the pressure off of us anyway so I like being the underdogs in 4 of our next 5 games. With that said, I think we go 6-2 in the SEC and find a way to win 10 games and get to a BCS bowl. Laugh if you want to but this team has a ton of potential and will be fun to watch all year. We were all saying the same thing this time last year. This teams mistakes are very fixable. We just have to make sure we identify them all and correct them.

You make good points but I just dont see it. If we can lose to a team like UCLA then there is no way in hell we beat UF, UGA, Bama, and Auburn.
