UAB Defense

:nono: Law, tread lightly....Myself, I wasn't that impressed with the Gators. You are definitely beatable in Neyland, I have no doubt.

I agree.

Tennessee will ride down UAB like grass.

I will make it a personal holiday when Meyer gets embarrased on the field with someone running the score up on him. Make no doubt about it, the rest of the league will catch up with Meyers cutsie little offense someday and shut it down. May take a while, but it will happen.

My suspicion is that his ego is just fine.

Hey, at least we have a team that is capable of runn ... oh, never mind.

Wonder why CUM still has his panties in a wad about the Georgia game last year? Did his little feelings get hurt?

TBK Florida's offense was very pedestrian in terms of drives. They either get lucky and hit a long run/pass or they're 3 and out. They will get their share of wins, but I think this style of play catches up to a team and eventually excludes them from the big dance. Love him or hate him.. Leak was more of a move the chains and win the game guy. Tebow can be frustrated as exposed last night, even in the win.

Their D is fast, but Hawaii nor Miami had the horses to exploit some holes in the DLine and in their secondary. UT may not win, but UT is'nt going to be the best team on their schedule. Personally, if we get our crap together it is a winnable game. We have playmakers and a good O line. The question is can our D handle the pressure their speed will continually put on them.

Interesting post. Over in the NCAA forum, you have added your voice to those naive folks claiming that Meyer is a douche for having tacked on a field goal to beat Miami 26-3 instead of 23-3.

And now here you are calling for your offensive coordinator to actually be fired if you don't score at least 45 against the hapless UAB squad.

Talk about your irony.

Well actually its quite different if we only have say 38 points with a 1 minute left in the game you bet were running the football and not throwing it trying run up the score were probably taking a knee and your right Urban is a douche

In the sporting world I like to call this the Homer effect.:lolabove:

Law you want to talk about irony.. Let's talk about stupidity. Your starting (heisman) qb is in the game in the last minutes when you're up by 20 points against a physical and mean defense. Wonder if you would have won more games last year if your qb wasn't banged up... guess we will never know.

Back on topic here. . .

Does it matter how many points they gave up the previous two games when our QB can't hit wide open receivers?

We'll probably barely beat UAB and chalk it up to looking ahead. Can someone please pass the optimism, I need a dose.

If we don't score 50 i don't know what i'll do. I'll be embarrassed worse than the 05 season

We all feel this way, no matter what everybody says. We need a BIG win here. We need to put up at least 40. After watching the game a fourth time, I do feel we have a chance to be explosive. We just need to execute, whoever's at fault.

The thing is I rly want to see the WR's get the ball in space a lot better than last game b/c that is the "KEY" to the Offense. Jones rly needs to have some room b/c that boy can move

No offense, but I suppose you all don't realize that Tulsa and FAU are KNOWN for their offense. In fact, Tulsa was #1 in the nation in offense last year (averaged better than 520ypg). FAU was even #16 nationally in passing yardage last season.

Not saying Tennessee won't score a bunch on UAB, because you probably will. I'm just saying that those teams are KNOWN for putting up offensive numbers. UAB's offense is clearly much further along than the defensive side of the ball.

Trust me hun, NOBODY on this board thinks our team should take your team lightly. Not after Monday night.

It doesn't matter how many yards we get on the ground our through the air. Just as long as we get the win that will make me happy at this point.
