Mouhon had the angle and could have lit that kid up going into the endzone and instead just watched... lets hope our LB coach works on that....

This is nuts. These kids are in high school. They are rated highly because of elite athleticism, measurables, strength, or perhaps high football IQ for a HIGH SCHOOLER. In other words - POTENTIAL. So few of them are good at route running, angles, or any other mental aspect of the game...at this point, they just run and jump and catch and make guys miss or run around and tackle and smash. That is what high schoolers do.

The guy saying he expected better than this from these players is just ignorant and is treating them like they have received any college coaching. Lighten up and enjoy watching them play before they stripe up the orange and white.

Pull his offer IMO. We don't need guys that won't light kids up while in the end zone after scoring in a meaningless all star game.

I didn't get to see the game but from this thread it doesn't sound like Malone was given much of a chance to do anything and that's a shame. It also sounds like some posters here are being hyper-critical of Kelly Jr and Mouhon from watching an all star high school game which is just stupid....Hey Memphisvol87, watch the NFL Pro Bowl in a month and tell me how much great defense you see buddy. This is an all star game and the point is for these kids to have a good time, not to lay it all out on the field. I am sure some tackles were missed but I am also sure that Kevin and Todd will help us get better and have good careers at UT and we are lucky to have them.

Mouhon tried to make tackle. I think you mean TK. It's an all star game the kids aren't trying to hurt each other

They didn't even look to throw to him but one time. I don't even think they looked to throw to outside WRs more than twice entire game. The East coaches were awful

Why are people not allowed to point out a bad play? They didn't say they were going to suck. You point out the good and the bad.

I don't get why people get so defensive.

1. They are still in high school, and it was an all-star game.

2. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

3. Because until they have signed on the dotted line, we should say only very positive things. We want these kids on our team, and I, for one, don't want to give anyone - opposing coach, fan, etc. - any reason to say "look, the UT fans are already against you." Just silly. Why even chance it?
