And what incentive does he have to leave his Alma mater?

Also, if he wouldn’t stay at A&M, why would he come here?

He’s been fired at Texas Tech, dudes a bright OC but just don’t see Pruitt changing to an air raid offense.

I still want to see his system implemented with a quality line and a skilled QB (no offense JG).

The guy had a mid major Oline and a QB that may belong there too. Wr's that are slow and lazy on blocks. I don't think even the best OC would have a magic potion for that. Now his calls where way too predictable at times but they didn't execute them anyway so there is that.

Reports are saying that Helton may actually be gone. I am a little surprised by this. But if this isn't the right staff, then I don't have a problem with us finding another OC.

He's fixing to get canned at his alma mater Texas Tech.... and he left A&M to go to TTU as head coach. You probably should not comment much on Kingsbury, if you know this little about him.
Leach disciple. Great hire, in that his system would mask our offensive deficiencies, while we get some OL in here.We would have our cake and eat it too... Pruitt and essentially Leach. But Phil is too pig headed to do it.

It also appeared to me....yesterday anyways.... the plays he was calling were taking too long to develop.

Yes. Short quick passes like Shurmur was doing seemed to me to be a better option. I think we have problems with this QB. People want to think he's improving but he doesn't see things developing in front of him very well. I don't know if you can correct that or not. Open QB competition next year i hope. JG didn't do enough to solidify that spot. I really don't know why they were so stubborn to stick with him honestly. I just don't see it.

You are really challenged... if you kept up with football, (which obviously you don't), you would know that he has been on the hot seat all year from the AD. Oh, and 'remote' just happened. SMH

Report: Kliff Kingsbury out as head coach at Texas Tech

And yet you still can answer a simple question. Why on earth would we can Helton after one year and go straight to a coach that just got fired? Are you saying UT’s OC is now KK’s ceiling for jobs?

Anyone that thinks Tyson Helton is the problem doesn't understand football. It's that simple.

The D was much worse than the offense today. And most of the offensive problems were O-line and execution related. Helton pulled two rabbits out of his hat (and almost three) this season. Pretty good given that he inherited arguably the worst offense in the entire NCAA. Get Helton some O-linemen and another year with JG, I think we'll see significant improvement there.

The defensive performance scares much more. And we're losing our top 3 D-lineman next year. I don't know why the defense has been so wildly inconsistent this season; some games they've looked spectacular; others they've looked awful.

Regardless, coaches always struggle in Year 1. Let's see what happens in Year 2 and Year 3 before jumping to rash conclusions.

It’s hard to hang too much on the defense when they played 45 minutes. Yes, they had chances to get off the field and failed, but they also got ran back out there after three and out by the offense several times.

There’s enough shame to go around for everyone after that game.

The inconsistency on defense is pretty easy to see. Teams with experienced QBs and receivers who can make plays wore us out. We Can’t pressure with four and can’t cover well enough man to man to blitz pressure.

I saw the friction between Pruitt and Helton in the Missouri game and others. It only gets worse if he stays. I don't think he will want to stay I think he is hunting for an out as we post. Of course he doesn't want to give up the contract he has but suspect any viable offer and he is gone.

Tennessee can't afford to fire him....he may walk out but the buyout and the publicly will just contribute and feed the current problem with Tennessee....

Dude.... are you Helton...or Helton's agent? First you asked why would Kliff Kingsbury leave his alma mater, and if he didn't stay at A&M, why would he come here. I then said he was about to be fired. You stated that was 'remote possibility' at best. Which again points out that you have no clue about KK's situation, because he has been on the hot seat the last 3 years.... So then, I (and others) pointed out that your 'remote' just happened (he got fired), again underlining your complete lack of knowledge of his situation. AND now, maybe finally understanding that you really did have no clue about KK's situation, you are trying to change the whole narrative to about keeping Helton because he only has had one year. And what further indicates your insanity on this....is that NEVER in any of my posts, did I advocate the hiring of KK or even the dismissal of Helton. I was just pointing out your total lack of knowledge on KK's situation. You get all huffy when you get called out for being clueless, and then start throwing darts, even if at the wrong people. Oh, and btw, LMAO!!

I say keep him 1 more year just for the sake of giving him the benefit of the doubt, but if Kingsbury wants to come here it's a no brainer.
