Tyrann Mathieu

Hahaha I think Rogers has a picture like this every game after a DB talks sh*t about him on game week.

He's like a Taylor Mays from USC!! Everyone said he was better than Eric Berry!! Look now, even though Eric Berry is hurt this yr. Who made the pro bowl and who didn't?

I was at the game and I haven't seen film of the game. To me the first bad game of Mathieu's career. The long pass play it seemed from my point of view Reid made a jump to the outside receiver so there actually nobody on 60+% of the field. It looked like a play where their was no pressure and a good pass. All CBs have to have short memories. Saying someone is not going go catch a pass on you is fairly stupid. IMHO ALL CBs get the ball caught on them.

Over all LSU's D looked pretty flat until the INT.

Yes, Mathieu is good, yes he talks to much, and yes he will get the ball caught against him.

When teams are focusing on winning individually battles, when LSU plays it like a team game, I consider that a victory.

Ummm, Da'Rick didn't just catch a pass on him, he made Mathieu his b*tch by knocking him back 3 yards then dragging him 10 yards. Call it whatever you like, but Mathieu got punked.

Da'Rick didn't make anyone his *****. If he did he would have had 200+ yds. receiving and Vols would not have lost by 31. CBs have to have short memories or they will not make it, EVERY SINGLE DB gets burned and Mathieu will get burned. A bad night for a DB is defending a guy that has 150+ yards on you and multiple TDs, heck the team a whole only had 128 yards.

Trust me, if that is the worse night he has had as a DB he is doing very good. Not the best night of his career, he talks a bunch of smack, I am sure he got some back but too me the Vol's played right into the Tigers strategy.

Mathieu didn't back up any of the **** he talked. He gave up our two biggest plays.

Again, he didn't get burned. He got physically shoved back 3 yards from the line of scrimmage when he tried to check up on Da'Rick (that's the first time Da'Rick made him his b*tch). Then, Da'Rick physically drug Mathieu atleast 10 yards when he hung from his waist, if that isn't making a DB look like a punk then I don't know what to say.

I will congratulate you for your team beating our ass, but Mathieu was flat out owned by Da'Rick.

This is not about the team, this is about Mathieu talking trash to Da'Rick and not being able to back it up. It is not just him catching the ball, it was the entire play.

No, its very simple. You are a respectable poster around here but your boy ran his mouth and didn't back it up. He got run over multiple times and really had little impact on the game. He has to own that too. Just a young punk who needs to grow up a little... and gain a little weight... and stop flappin his jaws.

I do get your point and I wish TM would STFU at times but at the end of the day it was even a very successful day for him. I am actually glad he got a earful, I see nothing wrong with a little smack talking but he kind of goes a little too far with it. IMHO

Although I kind of agree with you, however the game as whole it would be considered basically a good game for most DBs. I need to watch the game on film as I was there but as far as I can tell there were no real blown coverages, but sometimes I hard to tell being at the game.

Again, your point is well taken, if you want to give TM some crap I have no problem with it. If he is going to dish it out then he has to be able to take it. My bet is on LSU's secondary and eventually TM is going to make someone pay, in general.

Nah TM got owned.. He was the reason TN scored their only touchdown because of the pass interference in the endzone. LSU beat us by 31 because they are much better than us right now.. they would have beat us by 31 without TM as well.

The honeypuss gave up our two biggest plays and had the same number of tackles as Vincent Dallas and Zack Rogers, who happen to be WRs.

You guys have a great team, can't argue that. Your DBs are very good. Its too bad that a guy like Mathieu can't act like he's been there... but then again he hasn't been so maybe he'll grow up.

But he may want to consider what happened Saturday... if he's going to make a career out of football he's going to have to figure out how not to get owned by NFL size WRs.

Calling out guys who can skull drag him across the field isn't going to get him anywhere.

Yesterday was the first time I had seen Mathieu play. If I hadn't read this thread and never heard of him, after yesterday I would've wondered how someone that looked that awful is a starter at LSU. He looked like he should have been playing for Louisiana-Monroe. But then I realized that Da'Rick has made more than one DB look like junk this year after they talked sh*t about him in game week.

One of the LSU fans said something like 'That was Georgia. Da'Rick hasn't seen anything like the Honey Badger, he'll get ran over.'

...well how'd that turn out. Oh and if Tyrann Mathieus forced fumbles look like that then he's not as impressive as I thought. I thought he was making them by laying the wood to the receivers, but it looked like he was trying to just grab the ball out of Da'Rick's hands while Da'Rick was laughing and dragging him down the field.

He didnt get owned he had a INT And made a few plays on Darick. Darick didnt impress me overall sorry guys Im waiting on the 5 star play. He got the Mathieu kid only on 1 play. Do people remember he was the 2nd best WR in the nation coming out of HS. He hast lived up to it. He has done nothing against SEC teams so far. I hope he brings it man kid had just as many dropa as Z Rogers. I cant take up for Darick until he shows up!
