Tyrann Mathieu

I prefer DBs that play great and let that speak for them. Nothing to say if you're doing it on the field.

I assume you hold the same judgment for darick, who has gotten into twitter battles before almost every game we've played?

I guess I should have bolded the "arguably" part

But it isn't arguable. He's been the beneficiary of a load of talent around him. The backside blitzes and the goofy strips of stopped runners aren't greatness, they're fortune. Chris White was an all world S at UT too, if stats were the measure.

Typically when people caveat a phrase with "arguably" or "possibly" it typically isn't meant as a statement of fact but rather a way to make a point. I said he was arguably the best db in the nation to make a larger point, not to get in a battle over whether he is or not.

Thank you. I'm glad someone else here understand how football is suppose to be played.

Sure he has the stats, but they have all came on blind hits to the qb and stripping the ball from players who were already stopped and well wrapped up.

He's a good player just not a good db.

I understand English, but how does the exaggeration make some larger point?

That him only making tackles and fumbles and not int's does not make him a crappy DB (some poster said somehing like that a few pages back).... And the point of the entire post was a commentary of how funny it is to watch the evolution of a vol fan's psyche over a week (myself included)...

I think he's a good DB and good player.

Reading comprehension is not tough for most, you seem to struggle w/ it though. Go back and find where I typed out the words Eric Berry or even referred to him. Maybe you should be trying harder?

I hope you didnt try to say he was better than Berry because hes not even on the same planet with Berry and if you even think they are then your beyond ignorant.

you should read the sam montgomery tweets...

if our players dont have those tweets on every corner of the locker room then something is wrong..

There's a poit when all the faux motivation just becomes noise. If what the fans think of our line play doesn't motivate them to rip heads off, it ain't happening.
