Watched both incidents from XX with m son, a former member of the PRIDE. That Bammer flunkee purposely tried to start a conflict. Kudos to that "blacksuit" for deterring the worthless arse.:good!:

No reason to deprive your kids the thrill of going to a game in Neyland. I have two teenage girls and they have been to several games throughout all ages.

Just don't go to the biggest rivalry game on the schedule, of course you will see some classlessness on both sides. My kids have gone to Vandy, UK, and other non-conference games and we have never had a single issue.

Kids light up when they see the Vol Walk, running through the T and what kid doesn't like dogs? Seeing Smokey is still cool for them (and me too). We were at the UK game a couple of years ago when Smokey got loose coming out at halftime and bit the UK punter in the ass...my kids still laugh about that!

I was so hoping the Pride would play the USC fight song instead of bama song. Do other bands play Rockytop for us pregame or is that just our tradition?

My son enjoys racing and that can be a rowdy crowd.
Bristol has done a great job with their alcohol free (family friendly)
area. With that many kids in one section, even the fans located nearby seem more respectful.

When that occurs, very rarely, I apologize to the visiting fan and tell them the jerks do NOT represent true Volunteers. Usually some of the Tennessee men fans will call out them out and say to shut up and show some class. No reason to let a few emabarrass VolNation. That said it has happened to us at away games, but usually same thing...most of the other teams fans are very nice.

The Pride was tasked with keeping another "F U Florida" episode from occurring. Anytime the student section would try to get something started, the Pride would fire up at a moment's notice and drown them out. Anyone else in attendance notice the renditions of Rocky Top that seemed to come at random times? I did. Now I know why.

Always very proud of the Pride and a lot of respect for their hard work and talent. Pride of the Southland is a well deserved name.

The best thing I saw was while watching Kiffen leave the field after the game. While the fans were booing him, he removed his visor and walked over to a young girl (8 to 10 years old) who was standing between 2 men in the corner of the stands beside the tunnel. Kiffen gave the little girl his visor and then exited thru the tunnel. A few moments later, a Bama team official came over and tried to take the visor from the little girl. The girl would not let go of the visor and they had a pretty good tug of war over it. The men with the little girl finally joined in the tug of war. The Bama official finally gave in and left the field. I guess he thought the little girl snatched it off of Kiffen's head.

I'm going to defend Bama on this one from a Coaches perspective. All coaches are on a set schedule of how an when they do the things they do. If you were paying attention to the clock it was 2 minutes before game time and they were still playing like they still had five minutes on the clock. As a coach myself you can not let external factors determine how your schedule runs. Thats just my opinion and to give a different perspective.

You don't go into someone else's home, ignore their routine and institute your own schedule.

Really! You mean you want the other team to dictate what you do as a team? Think about it! I could understand if there was five or ten minutes left in their routine but come on their was some mind games being played by Tennessee band not getting off the field in time for the teams to get settled in.

Actually, all pre-game stuff is supposed to be done at a certain point before kickoff.

I have no idea if the band went too long, as I wasn't really paying attention. But if they did, then the visiting side of the field outside the numbers belonged to Bama, and they had no obligation to work around the band.

You ignore outside factors? Really? Would you ignore the SEC Network or ESPN schedule? If playing on TV and having momentum, would you ignore the red hat? Did the Pride tell you they were playing mind games instead of music? Perhaps some factor delayed their start. Is the visiting team coach god? Has Bama never played moind games? Did you grow up in Alabama?

Actually I did grow up in Alabama. Would I get mad if the tables were turned? No! If Alabama was playing Tennessee at home and the Million Dollar Band went over the time and there was a minute left on the clock, I would expect ole Butch to do the same thing. If you watch the video it shows the coaches trying to hold the players from coming on the field until the clock got to 1 minute. Would you want your players sitting in a big circle being pumped up having to listen to the opposing team sing their fight song while your standing there. The whole espn sec network deal is a known factor that coaches already expect and it actually gives the players more time to rest. You must not have ever played sports before.

Wrong once more. Actually, I did play sports. I began playing football in 1951. That was back when people were generally more considerate. True, I wasn't that good at football but I did clock a 4:12 mile in 1957.

The guy had a few thoughts on the issue. Occasionally there's more to life than a video or photo. If you learn to patiently read (until you realize the author is an idiot, which this guy isn't - his point is vaild) you may learn a few things - including interpersonal skills.

You are correct sir people were more considerate back then I'm sure. Who is to say who was not being considerate the Tennessee Marching Band or Alabama only those guys would know. My point is something wasn't right about the whole situation. Don't think anything was done on purpose. I hear ya on the 4:12 mile I don't know If I could do that driving a car. Lol!

my problem was them chanting roll tide while we had an injured player on the field, if I was in the upper deck there would've been a brawl. Absolutely classless

Apparently I've been outta the loop on where to have a smoke. Had a cop remind me that Neyland was smoke free during entrance pat down last year. Wonder where that fellow was when the Bammer players were sparking their stogies.
