He actually committed to OK State out of high school, but didn't qualify. He went to prep school for a year, and then backed out on OK. State (or Ok. State backed out on him because they are getting hammered for academic issues right now) for Pitt. Pitt didn't think they could get him in either, so they dropped him. U.T. has nothing to lose and everything to gain by rolling the dice on Mostella. If he doesn't have everything in order after 2 years of prep school, he has some issues.

He committed to Pitt in July 2013 before he went to prep school.

He committed to Pitt in July 2013 before he went to prep school.

It's really hard to follow his timeline:

November 18, 2012 - Committed to Ok. St.
November 19, 2012 - Signed with Ok. St
July 2, 2013 - Released from Ok. St scholarship

I guess this was all done during high school?

July 2, 2013 - Commit to Pitt but doesn't get in so he heads to prep school?

If we can get him in. Get him in. This video is all the evidence I need.

Nothing like helping out a new coach to get the admin to "loosen" the entry requirements.

The dunk contest was impressive.
